Been lurking here for a while. Just a couple of quick questions, hope someone can help.
The indicator ang_fourier (as posted by newdigital), has shown some very good progress in regards to scalping for me. I was wondering the logic behind it (in laymans terms), I scoured the net for possible explanations but always came up with mathematical mumbo jumbo, that had me stumped.
Any explanation, rhyme or reason as to how it works would be greatly appreciated.
It is indicator for forecasting of the daily range according to DeMark (daily range - min and max D1 or support/resistance on the current or next day). Author of the indicator is KimIV. This indicator is not working on D1 and more higher timeframes.
But H4, H1, M30 and m15 is ok.
And 100 days is ok (see image). But I think 100 days is necessary just for backtesting only. The most important thing is forecasting for tomorrow and daily range in the current day.
You can actually use these to trade breakouts on as well. Especially for anything that doesn't trade 24 hrs and opens above or below these lines, you can trade them in the direction of the high/low towards the opening gap. Pretty reliable trade, each and every day. Its a variation of TD Rebo, if anyone is familiar. On fx charts, I would recommend trading breakouts on smaller timeframes, confirmed with TD Breakout Qualifiers, or on a simple pullback to the 8ema, if price is strongly trending.
Has anyone got Equidistant Channel (EC) indi that will draw the middle line automatically? (divide the top and bottom distant equally at the middle) ie. similar to Linear Regression Channel but is EC.
I would like to code an indicator to extrapolate a moving average for
Channel building. However, I totally got lost in the Maths stuff.
TSD is a great forum that allow me to find the polynomial regression codes
and the links that help to build such indicator. I download the code, read
the webpages, modify the code again and again. But still can't make it. I
know the reason. My knowledge is very limited. When I read the book "Numerical Recipes", I found It was full of terms that I don't understand
and so do the algorithm and thus I can't code the indicator.
Would any sincere Member tell me how to do the polynomial regression in
a layman way, please?

Thank you very much. The code of the indicator is just similar to the one I posted for reference. I've finally solved the equation and found somethings valuable. Extrapolation of a 20 period LWSA with 4 bar shifted would have forecasting value. My next step is adding a damping filter to improve the accuracy.
i'm new to the forex market and i'm looking for a good indicators which can predict the futur of the market, i already have a good follower indicators and now looking for some which can predict the future of the market
Do you have a magic orb that tells who's around the corner without looking?
Do you have some tarot card reading that will tell you how your day will be tomorrow?
There is no such thing as an indicator that predict future markets, and if there is- why would it be in the public?
