I don`t know.
Looks like it is drawing bigger bars where previous consolidation zones were.
Could be used to determin the strength of support and resistance zones.

But....I think that the price itself would tell you the same.
Not sure if it is much of use.

It looks like PRICE PROFILE or VOLUME AT PRICE will have to look at the code too see.

I agree, looks like market profile. Shows which price is the "most popular". Some trade the reversals to the mean when the price moves away. Obviously it wouldn't work if the price started trending.
