My favorite is a system pulled from stock trading system that uses between three to five weighted moving averages. The crossover between daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly... watch when the weekly and monthly crossover the larger averages for shifts.
Watch your wallet because while this system works very well you can't be leveraged too deeply into the trade... it will often take you for a ride for a little while in the wrong direction while smaller corrections are being made inside of a larger trend.
Most importantly when using this method is to try to pick a smoother pair where the averages cross gently. (at a low angle) sharp crosses do not work well with this indicator.
