Ganbah Strategy!

Hello Traders,

I found this method on another forum which you undoubtedly know and I wanted to have your opinion.

Ganbah Strategy!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This strategy is founded by a friend of mine. I asked him to reveal it here to improve it. His only request is to keep the name intact.

Here is the strategy:

- Open the chart on the pair you want to trade, H1 frame and add RSI of period 3 days "RSI(3)". (All pairs of 2 - 5 pips of spread can be used).

- Go LONG When RSI return from the buttom or at least 30 and gos up.

- Go SHORT When RSI return from the top or at least 70 and gos down.

- Target = 10 points.

- Stop lose = 20 points.

It is better to enter at the returning point from the top/bottom or at least not after the reading passing 30/70.

In the normal days, there are more than 30 chances to open contracts! (I guess!).

The result of this strategy is promising and need to optimize using more indicators to take the right decision to enter.

The Statement here

Rather simple A to undoubtedly carry out a EA, that do you think about it?

hello Group,

There is already a EA. I attach it here

Hello,

This is my message (in the other forum) abort my results :

Hello oshaban,

I tested successfully your method manually then I tested your EA.

As you can see you, there are losses and I think of knowing why.

You mention on your method manually that one needs a crossing of line RSI on the reference marks: 30 or 70.

The EA opens position under these reference marks and not with the crossings. I think that by modifying the EA so that it opens the position only with the crossing, one should have more gaining and less losers.

What do you think about it?

I attach statement since yesterday and I continue to test it before the next update of your EA

Is it a wrong parametre for diRSI1 ?

Hello,

I refer this EA:

http://www.forexmt4.com/_MT4_Experts/Ganbah_tp10_sl22.mq4

1. Should be "1" (instead of 0) for the last parametre on this line?

double diRSI1=iRSI(NULL,60,3,PRICE_CLOSE,0);
Because, on the previous line there is:

double diRSI0=iRSI(NULL,60,3,PRICE_CLOSE,0);

2. For what is this function? It is not used in the EA.
void ModifyStopLoss(double ldStopLoss) {

bool fm;

fm = OrderModify(OrderTicket(),OrderOpenPrice(),ldStopLoss,OrderTakeProfit(),0,CLR_NONE);

if (fm && UseSound) PlaySound(NameFileSound);

}

Thanks

the biggest problem now is how to make the stop loss smaller then take profit (MM Rules) and please don't even try to use this system befor slove MM problem

good luck all

The SL doesn't have to be smaller than the TP, if the win rate is high enough.

Indicator that may help

Hi,

I've been back testing testing a very similar strategy (manually) and recently discovered this indicator (SMI) on this thread. I'll start forward testing Monday.

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173778

I found the relationship between the two indicators very interesting. I'm not sure you'll find this valuable, but here's a screen shot.
