A short resume of my chat room experience till now.

It seems that there are not a lot of good active Forex audio chat rooms out there.

Paltalk is not free for every body in this world. In a request for an explanation why I could not log in and why I get always diverted to a subscription upgrade page, I got the following answer:

The following restrictions are done by the U.S goverment regulations.
New subscribers from the following countries cannot enter rooms unless they pay
IR Iran
IQ Iraq
RO Romania
SY Syria
YE Yemen
YU Yugoslavia
LB Lebanon
No subscribers, new nor old, may enter rooms unless they pay from these countries
MA Morocco
TR Turkey
No new subscribers are being registered from the following countries due to U.S. regulations
KP Korea
CU Cuba
SY Syria
SD Sudan
IR Iran
LY Libyan Arab Jamahiriya

This doesn’t solve my problem because I am in Egypt at the moment what is not in the list.

The Kokas chat room. Is always empty
Fx street chat room gives always a message: chat room is not in session at this moment.
Millennium Traders is not a voice chat room but text only and it is actually a signal provider. They flash the screen every now and then with “consider buy now GBPUSD” etc in bright colors. And it is expensive, so not what I am looking for.
Threz is only in a test stage. The text in the room is old and the room is not active

That brings us by the only interesting chat room so far:
Woodie’s CCI club. Mr Woodie himself gives al the time live audio comments on his trades. But he trades not only Forex but al kind of stuff. I hear him speaking about the Russel often. This is however the kind of chat room that could be interesting for us. As a background info comment. Only I would like to find a good active room like this with Forex only chat. When I do I let you know.

Hi Luke,
I have downloaded the Teamspeak program and installed. But I can't log in. For the server I use 75.110.123.137 and pass getpips ? ... It gives an error message: Server offline.

On the FOREX SRDC forum I find nothing about a chat room. I have asked them.

They changed the server address and informed me about that. I am in the proces of registrating at the moment.

How do you log on to this? It needs a username/password.

The room of SRDC is not available at the moment. They were hacked and their site is in disarray at the moment. I can see that I have a reply message for my subscription request but the PM board is not functioning at the moment. This morning they were even off line completely. There is also a discussion going on about hacking etc at Kreslik's forum you can read the whole fight here: http://kreslik.com/forums/viewtopic....highlight=srdc . I will wait till the storm calms a bit with these guys.

I could no longer resist and down loaded MIRC client application. The place where all the traders hang out, you remember. An other disillusion however, because it is good old ascii text chat. Pff! I want something more sophisticated.

This brought me back to the Team Speak chat room that SRDC uses. I got a bit familiar with the client program and there are hundreds of voice chat rooms available trough this client program. It seems to be used mainly by gamers. I logged inn in one of the rooms and this is really great ! This is what we, forex traders, need. A live voice chat of a bunch of traders under each other. One of the game rooms was filled with 15 gamers who were commenting randomly on there ongoing game. When they noticed me entering the room they all started to ask who I was (because I didn’t answered immediately). This is the tool we need !

I should like to tune in to a forex radio station, made by traders for traders. If I can’t find it, once I am a bit more stable in my daily habits, I will make it my self !

With live voice chat (by 1 man only) all the time.

The bad:
The guy is a real pain in the butt !!!
He speaks about all kind of commodities and Forex.

Scroll down in the page to see when they broadcast and to see the archive. At 10.00h GMT today no stations were in live broadcasting session.

This is the Bloomberg online radio station, that most of us can also access by satellite. It’s entertaining … but not about forex (or only generaly fundamental).

Just found this one. Don’t know yet if there are several speakers, but the guy that was speaking at 11.00 GMT … not bad … best so far, anyway . (one eye in the land of the blinds)

My conclusion so far:

After listening to all I could find (see above) there is 1 big winner:

Now that I live in Belgium again, I can get Paltalk for free. So I am listening to FXigor, who happens also to be from Belgium. His comments and trading guidance really gives an extra perspective to my own setup. The man knows what he speaks about.

The result of my search for live audio Forex chat at this moment is:

Via Paltalk: the chat room: "Professional Trading Forex with video by fxigor". As the room name sais even with live streaming video of the chart that he uses, super ! If you have problems to get the video working ask me here or ask Johnnyguitar in the Trading Rooms platform (he is the nice guy who explaned me).

And of course THE VOICE OF THE FOREX MARKET!
