Talking Who is wrong?

Who is selling nuts?

I´m trying to develop a litlle strategy using channels. So, I´m researching about all developed strategies.

But i found this nice sorprise

First, pls check this Investopedia article

Then, check this another one article

And this one is a mix

However, I have the book of John Murphy, Technical Analysis of the financial Markets and in page 470 keltner channels are explained in detail confirming explanation in the second article.

Murphy is considered a "last word" in tech analysis, but Investopedia is one of the most visited websites about trading and it supposes to be serious.

So. Who is wrong?

Hi,

Would you elaborate a little more? Like, specifically, what are you talking about?

Che, Linuxuser, I embrace your idea of channel trading, although, I like to refer to basics, such as your probability bands thread (too bad that thread was shut down). I like the idea of knowing how far the pair could, statistically, go up and down each day.

Anyways, here is a couple of indics that may contribute to channel trading. Credit where credit is due i.e., to original coders. In the case of Bands, play with Period and Deviation. In the case of PivotLines, adjust for start of broker time or as desired.

And thx for your contributions. I particularly liked your WoodiesCCI with LSMA.

Fortuna!
