How quick are they on transferring money back and forth? Because of the leverage/lot size used it would have to happen possibly a few times a day.
Some time since i did it now but as far as i remember it was instant. Or maybe a minute.
Sorry i don't remember exact but it did not take long time that i know.
Anyway I would probably go back to Oanda (with IBFX now) if they supported true hedging on a single pair instead of having the orders cancel each other. The spreads would definitely help with scalping.
You can hedge trades if you want to by using a sub account to make a trade going the other direction, although I've never understood why people want to have trades in both directions at the same time.

Its MTF trading Will. I have 6 x accounts on the same system. I'll explain it in MQ4 so people know what am I doing.
Because the RSI might not have the same direction for all TF. And it may change at the middle while other trade is already been executed. Hi frequency trading concept. Please refer Olsen's article. Btw, the above are just example. I'm not using RSI cross over though
So you're saying if you are following different systems at the same time and one system says to stay long for example while another changes more quickly and says to go short and then long again before the other changes to a long. I still don't understand why you would want to do condradicting strategies. It seems to me that when you are both short and long, the movement means nothing, and the only difference is that you are paying 2 spreads! I don't see how this could be a good thing for you do to in the big picture.
I actually have a different approach. I hedge two positions and wait for price to move at least 10 pips, it can be more but it really doesn't matter. Then I close one position and wait for price to retrace spread + 1 or 2 pips, then reopen the closed position. This works best during the Asian session but it takes some nerves, you also have to know when to cut your losses (the part I have the most problem with).
Not an ideal strategy but it doesn't require any indicators and is usually low risk, but your balance curve will look like an EKG. Equity is the important thing to track here, and since price is +/-~10 pips it doesn't look like 1 pip scalps to the broker. Anyway there is a bit more to it but that is the basics, let me know and I can expound for you if you want.
