I was wondering, in an EA what's the difference between opening an order (OrderSend()) and closing the order (OrderClose())? and in which area is the 'stock' bought/sold?

It seems you are very young in the FX world.
If I can give you any friendly advise, don't try to understand the EAs now. Just play a little bit with the terminal on a demo account.
By doing a few manuals trades, you will understand better the bases.
If you don't know how to begin, remember that the terminal has a good help file, just press the F1 key...

Think of OrderSend as "OrderOpen", the initiation of action. Whether it is to immediately open an order, to place future Buy Stops, Sell Limits, Sell Stops,…etc. I think they named it badly, but that’s me. My opinions are usually worthless (for the record).

Michel has a good point, you should learn the basics of trading.. .. terms, etc…

…Even better than F1 (Help file as mentioned by Michel) is playing around with the result of pressing F4 (F4 will bring up stuff solely relative to MetaQuotes Language) while playing with MetaTrader. Read as much as you can, walk away and resume life, then repeat the process…

Again back to Michel’s comment. Learn the bare basics first (F1, How to use the program), thence commence to F4 (How to manipulate it).
