Hi Jdun

do you trade this on both the currencies Hans recommended (EURUSD and GBPUSD)?

If 50,000 for a full acocunt, then 5000 for a mini should suffice (if you do not mind the risk and large DD). But over all with the big returns, it provides a good ROI. Or so it would seem

The EA I think is a little different from hans system. It has a lower SL and TP but not sure.

My current demo account is 1 million and I trade in 1 lots. I think you can trade live with 2000+ account using mini lots.

The R version use an entry of 13 pips and the one without it use 5 pip to enter the trade. I was mistaken about the profits on the 5 pips entry. For two weeks it made over 4k. I was looking at this week gain instead of the past two weeks of testing.

I stress that this EA should not go to a live account until you are comfortable with its performance.

What is the chart timeframe for this indicator to work best?

It's getting great reviews at strategybuilder. I backtested it on all currencies and it looks good on all of them. I haven't tested it live but the inventor claims to have been using it for the last 6 months live. I'm going to try to test it live a little bit this week.

They say that the Hans123 v8m1_1 is the best version if you are interested.

Here is the system that I will be testing.

The following was written by Hans123 , the inventor of this system:

If a certain position is taken and price turns agains you and it breaks the other side of the breakout channel then turn. If the breakout channel is narrower then the stoploss then hitting the other side means that you have to turn your position. There is only one turn per time frame possible
At 24.00 CET all orders expiring and close all trades at market. On Friday we do the same at 23.00 CET.

Total: +991 pips

The results this month are extreme. In general the system gives you an average return of 600 pips a month from March 2005.

On monthly basis the results are:

March 2005: +721 pips
April 2005: +940 pips
May 2005: +296 pips
June 2005: +857 pips
July 2005: +1,352 pips
August 2005: + 35 pips
September 2005: -20 pips
October 2005: +1,825 pips
November 2005: +554 pips
December 2005: +345 pips
January 2006: +73 pips
February 2006: -13 pips
March 2006: +633 pips
April 2006: +617 pips

All calculations before October 2005 are done by hand, so it is possible that there is a small deviation. It is only to show the power of such a simple system. Maybe someone can program this for Metatrader 4.

I don't trade an EA, so please don't ask.

I'm testing Hans123 on the demo. I went into the source code and changed "EurUSDm" to "EurUSD" for demo since they told me to do that so that the symbols will match. I did that on all the currencies that I saw. Is their anything else I need to do to get it to work on the demo? Thanks.

It finally made a trade. Do I need to close these trades or does it know to close them? I accidentally shut the software down for a few minutes but it's up now.

i'm not sure when it closes trades. i think the unexecuted trades expire @ 2359 GMT. then i've had it close some in profit trades @ 0000 GMT. I have closed others manually. it moves the s/l to break even at 40 pips profit? @ what point does the t/s become active?

the version I have has no trailing stop and you have to close orders manually. Only thing it does is set up the wins for you.
