I'm new to the FX. I am looking for a way to get rich slowly.
I have been searching and searching and reading 1000s of posts. I really like this forum.

I want to hear from people who know - the old school traders who have been around since I was born, or the FX people who are making a living daytrading, or other people with experience.

I'm not looking to quit my job, but to retire early (I'm 27). So perhaps you guys can tell me: Is it possible to make 10% a month (on average) with an EA? What about with a manual system? Have you guys done this, or is anyone consistantly doing this on a live account?

Is this too much to ask?

I trade for a living. Been full time since last july. I have been in the market 2 years. I learn new things every day.

Take it slow is great idea. Find a trade system that suits your needs and is appropriate for your level of investment.
Learn the basics of Elliott wave theory. Don't try to trade off it but will give great in site to the markets behavior. Learn how to properly draw trend lines, and how to identify key support/resistance on daily weekly 4hr time frames. Do not trade off of charts lower than 1hr. Although most learn this the hard way. As did I.
Play with demo's. Watch the market for a year trading demos before you go live. That way you've seen an entire years different seasonal market personalities. Get really proficient at doubling and trippling demos.
Discipline will take on a whole new meaning once you go live. Expect to lose some money befor you find your niche. But think of it as paying for your hands on education. Keep it micro lots untill you get good at making real money. Then slowly increase lot size to mini lot. So on and so forth.
