Trend-Rider
First of all, I'm just sharing with you the results of my EA, which I call TREND-RIDER not the source code. I may make some people mad, but that's ok.
As the name implies, the strategy is so simple and is of TWO RULES only: 1) Identify a strong trend, ride on it with a dynamic trailing point to let your profits run. 2) If you mistaken got on a trend that turned out to be weak, just get off as early as possible to minimize loss by applying a dynamic stoploss. I've shared some strategies in the past, but this time I'll suffice with the results and see your opinion. Not that I'm selfish or anything, but I've done so much efforts with lots of sleepless nights and I hope you understand why I want to keep the code. But I'm sharing the strategy, and that's what counts. I've been playing with EAs since January and ended up with the above 2-rule bizarre equation that passed all backtests that I tried and consistently led to something like this: lost trades: 75% won trades: 25% Yes, you are surprized why lost trades are much higher and I still call those tests successful! But wait until you see the below profits. Remarkably however, with proper trailing points and relatively small dynamic stoplosses, this is the breakout of the profit margin: net profit in terms of money: 70% and loss: 30%, meaning that the won trades had significant profit while the lost ones had small losses (due to the application of proper TP and SL values). Today, I did my forward testing starting with the Tokyo session for all active sessions (four pairs so far), and in just a few hours, it produced those amazing results: ![]() and because of the stoploss, the profits are somewhat guaranteed from that point onwards. It produced a huge number of trades per pair (more than 150 usually) and it was active all the time in the forward test, meaning that it could be potentially a long-term winning strategy. Attached are the results for three pairs. Sorry however, the source code and the ex4 are under development. Those interested in testing it live on demo account are welcome to pm me and I'll send the ex4 file (not the source code). I hope I'm not violating the terms of the forum, but I can't release the code yet. Do comment please... Oops, I forgot to mention that all tests were in M1 only. The timezone setting is used when you're using the pivot point function so that the ea knows what timezone you're using to calculate the pivot points. I never used pivot points to begin opening positions, just support & resistance. |

Hi,
do you use SL for this CCI EA ? How many pips SL should be used ? I'm prefer no more than 30 pips SL and TP. I think it's a good style. ========================== Proven Forex System |
