I have heard a lot abt the hans123 system in other forums and hence i came in here looking for it...but there seems to be so many versions for it from what i see on the strategybuilderfx forums......can anyone give me the latest version of the EA and the most optimum settings?? pls....

The latest and most stable (in my opinion) is Hans123MV22 as attached below. Optimum settings? We are still optimizing it, and discussions about it still going on, so I can't really say what is the optimum settings for now.
Ive been told I need a pair of files to place in the Experts folder in MT4, one the ex4 and the other the mq4 file.
My problem is that i cant normally find the matching ex4 file to use
Can someone please help this newbie out and tell him how to make or get the needed ex4 file for a particular EA.

You only need one file to put in Experts folder, that is mq4 file. mq4 is a file that contains the sourcecode. After putting the mq4 file in the Experts folder, open the mq4 file using MetaEditor and compile it. It will produce an executable file with extension ex4. That is how we normally see a mq4 file accompanied by ex4 file. Hope that explains.
