I was referring specifically to this EA: MyLuckyProV04p.mq4

Does this EA use those imaginary things you guys were talking about to the point where the backtests are useless and totally off? And as far as FXDD is concerned, would they (a market maker) have an issue with me making such capital to the point where there "dirty tricks" software takes over?

Thanks again

I think MyLuckyProV04p is a good expert but EURGBP have became more volatile than what it used to be in the past, so many of the trading methods that have been created to scalp in that pair have to be adjusted, tuned or changed

Ok, but let's just say that the EURGBP loses it's volatility sometime in the future. Would the backtests on MT4 be accurate, or no? Do think FXDD might give me a hard time if I ever was to succeed making loads of capital with such an EA?

if the EURGBP went back to its normal base and the brokers have lowered the spread, I guess yes you will have good profit on this expert

But as to what know what the broker will do its very difficult ... but you can keep an eye on the trading log and check if the broker is sending you too many reqoutes when you try to place an order or off qoute when you try to close a trade

EA that can close half/part of an open position

Dear Hellkas/mini me

It is very rear to see an EA that can close half/part of an open position(personally I've seen none). In your thread, it will be honourable if you can make/find an EA for EMA that can close half position and leave the other half to run for profit until it is closed by another cross.
This will really help.

Hi suwad..

I dont know if its this what u want.. But take a look.

I dont use it, but i found in my pc..

The EA have the function "close lots"..

Ex: If u open a position with 1 lot, u can close the position with 0,5 lots and let the other 0,5 run..

Try it.. And tell what do u think..

One of the best EA's out there is the SuperRSI EA by bluto it works in daily timeframes, make less trades, but very good profit, almost all trades win.

Just for a warning, here is 20 year test for the same EA.

I don't see any point in posting just year or few years, that proves nothing. In scientific terms the data is statistically insignificant.

The only way to test if an EA is profitable is to get long range of 1min data, test about 20 years with control points for ALL MAJORS with daily [if this is daily method as my methods are], if control points methods gives you green then run the EA on 1 min data for all data you have and verify that control points method gives the same result for the same period.

You really need to test at least 20 years on all majors to make any conclusions if the method is profitable or not. Why majors? Because other pairs that have less volume are triangle crosses of majors therefore there is no point in testing against EURGBP for example if you already test against GBPUSD and EURUSD, it has less volume and is not as predictable for exact that reason (unless you are running some high frequency arbitrage but I doubt that if metatrader is the platform).
