after a few days I read again in this thread and I have difficulties to understand your complains!
First of all: an EA is a tool....this means YOU have to keep an eye on it and the market! And the final decision is yours whether to let the EA trade or not!
Secondly: you can almost read everywhere NOT to trade on fridays! Especially not when closing time comes closer. It can happen, you get stuck in a trade and that can wipe out your account if you don´t have a SL in place.
Yeah sure, it's a tool. Then you read in system trading articles that you should NEVER second guess the system, that's why you will under perform over time because you tinker with it. This is just another way to let your emotions dictate the trade.
I back tested trading friday and not trading friday. Guess which test outperformed the other? Wrong. The test that traded friday's outperformed the other test by $3k.
The better advise would be not to set your sights too high and except some losses, you should recover.
I am considering the FXCH Swiss Broker. Traded UDG/GBP with only 1 pip spread. But I have to fund the account $2,000 and can only trade standard lots. My question is do you think $2,000 trading 1 lot is enough to trade Your Luck and 4WD Thunder EA's?
If I only set up these 2 EA's to each trade 1.0 lots would it break the account?
cant you trade FXCH with mini lots e.g. 0.1 I thought I have read on their site.
Guys tried this EA yesterday and again. Backtest show a 21 pip change. Live trading got me a measly 9 pips.
Someone please help me out here. Is there some trick to all the backtest and live trading difference??
What kind of chart should I use for this...5min/15min/30min ??
FXCH,
Fixed spread 1 on EURGBP, no commission on trade. They wrote to me, allow EA methodically scalping, standard account 1 lot, minimum 2000USD. I guess you need 4000 to have a safer margin to avoid margin call.
mini account, less than 2000 USD, 0.01 lot, does not allow any EA on their mini account.
All above are written answer from FXCH to me.
their data is slower, så requote is much less than other broker. You can use other broker that move faster (such as fxmtrade.com (does not allow scalping)) for indication and trade on FXCH, since FXCH data is slower and less spiky.
This EA lost last week alot. maybe someone can solve this problem
Regards
I noticed you seem to be using version 1a - 2b is the newest version available. Please update and continue testing. I just started testing it 2 days last week myself and both days were profitable, however that does not cover the other days. I was running 2 all week and it did quite well. Take with a grain of salt as both accounts are demos as I am still getting to know the EA.
