Hi,
I'm testing few scalpers based on Championship 2007 EA's.
This is MetaQuotes demo, standard setting.
I thing that broker will use filter for these EA's.
Bongo
i think a single broker can not filter every ea but metaquote can.
So every new release there might be new filters implemented, at least at the server version which gives the live data feed.
Maybe this is (main?) reason for automated Championship?
I checked the Daily EURUSD zip, and the last modification of the contents was 24.01.2008 - yesterday, so the data must be up to date.

I have installed several MT 'flavours' already (IBFX, WCH,and Aleccohfx) and all their price data produce identical backtests for me.
I believe that regardless of the broker you got MT from, you almost always connect to the MetaQuotes server for historical data, as most brokers don't provide a separate data center you can use. Not sure about that, though, this is just my personal observation about the two-three brokers I have tried so far, and they were not IBFX, WCH nor Aleecohfx..

Also, I was under the impression that since Metaquotes removed the 'Recalculate' option, it was no longer possible to use third-party data - is this true?
As far as I can see, the "Import" button is still available, and you can import all kinds of formats. When my system failed the backtests against Alpari data, the "Recalculate" feature was still usable, though. Sorry, I am not very well informed, indeed..

Wish you luck!
Thanks for the link. I recall when this data was available on the Russian server, then it was shut, and the 'History Center' came online - so I thought that was it. Good to know the raw M1 data is still available.
You could indeed be correct about 'History Center' getting all its data from Metaquotes - out of boredom I installed the Alpari platform and sure enough, the backtest results are yet again identical... I am eager to import the M1 data and compare the results.
btw, I am aware you can import standard price bar data via the history Center - the thing was that before they removed the Recalculate option, you could use 'real' tick data. Removing 'Recalculate' means that Metatrader now would overwrite your 'real' tick data with its interpolated rubbish!

BigBoppa,
You are totally wrong.
Broker can create 100 different groups
and for each group he can put different filter,
different slippage, spread, etc.
Stace,
For this reason I’m not posting my EA’s.
If 1000 people will use these EA’s,
broker will know that these traders are using same
type of experts. He will kill your EA.
Gbolla.
.ex4 file is easy to decompile.
Sorry.

What does this? Can different clients get different quotes from the same dealer at the same time?...I do not think so...this can be caught and regulated and the NFA looks for this...it is easy for us to compare and make snapshots to prove this to the NFA...so Dealers know better than to offer different quotes to different traders at the same time!
