Talking Join us in live trading with EMA

hi......!!

i'm helen, lately i have formed a small yahoo group to do live trading with
EMA strategy, i trade from 0:00GMT to 16:00GMT everyday. Well as always, i
believe the fastest way to learn is to do it rather than just read it.

hence i would like to invite EMA traders to join us and sharpening our skill
together.

here's my chart setting:
1). Use H1 as main chart, supported by M30, M15, M5
2). 5 EMA applied to the close – yellow
3). 10 EMA applied to the close – blue
4). To set up EMA in Meta Trader platform, go to INDICATORS – TRENDS – MOVING AVERAGE , then choose EXPONENTIAL and applied to CLOSE
5). Slow stochastic (10,3,3), mark 20 / 80 as overbought and oversold zone
6). RSI (9), mark 50 as middle line reference
7). ADX , Average Directional Movement Index (9) , parameter color = grey ; +D1 = yellow; -D1 = red, mark 20 as reference level

my strategy will consider 2 scenario:
1). EMA cross = reversal of trend
2). EMA touch and bounce = continual of trends with greater strength

i hereby attached my chart for you to have an idea on how i trade.

lastly, if you were interested, just PM me.

If the cross happens on the 1H chart, you basically will be entering in on the 2nd hour. How can you tell if price will bounce off the EMA, that is, not penetrate [a reversal]?

hi,
good idea, i am thinking to code it, but i ask you about point 2) :
do you mean that price touch EMA1 and EMA2 and than closes up/down(bounce) and than enter on open of next hour ?

about stochastic indicator: use it on point 1)beetween 20-80 and point 2) on extreme zone ?

thanks in advance
best regards
giapel

May I join in?

Guys, may I ask a really stupid question. I've just added a Stoch in MT4 with the settings of 10,3,3 MA method "Exponential" but this is what I got.

Which line is a slow stoch? The red dotted one or the sky blue?
