FractalsEdge FX

I am trying to duplicate much of what the FractalsEsge FX (http://www.fractalsedge-fx.com/ software does via MetaTrader alone.

Has anyone used this software and can explain more of what it does? And what opportunities do we have to duplicate it in MT4?

The look of it it resembles close to Williams' chaos theory.

A short introduction you have here:

http://www.alpari-idc.com/en/market-analysis-guide/chaos-theory/index.html

The system described above is a standard template under metatrader, just called 'Williams'.

Is there an EA that accomplishes any of this?

OMG, this whole site smells of fraud.

" So, what does Chaos Theory, Fractal Geometry, Wavelet Theory, and Quantum Mechanics really have to do with making money in the Forex?

Everything. See, any single one of these sciences - by itself - correctly applied to the Forex could give you a significant competitive advantage."

Stay far far away from this junk. I cannot possibly believe that this bunch has managed to collect experts in Chaos, Fractals, Wavelets, and other disciplines into their little hive. As a matter of fact, that list reads like a list of buzzwords they cobbled together just to impress everyone.

Only suckers fall for the "Finally! Watch with Amazement and Ever-Increasing Confidence as Your New Forex Trading Account Continues to Soar WEll BEYOND any Previously Realized Heights" bullcrap.

Absolute garbage... and thanks for pointing that out. It is another attempt to con people out of their money using buzz words.

Well, it does. However, a trading associate of mine has been using this software (coupled with some other directional indicators) and has been doing quite well over the past 5 months with minimal, if at all, drawdown.

However, I assume just the basic technical nature of this system could be duplicated in MetaTrader. It's probably just a derivation of the Chaos Fractal system I have seen coded for MT3 around here.

Some of you guys disappoint me. I would expect from other posts you have made that you would at least make an attempt to investigate what you so readily state is a rip-off.

Your labeling about something you haven't done more than look at a website surface puts you as a situational expert - make yourself an expert about something you haven't researched. "Junk", "Bullcrap", "Absolute Garbage", "Con".

If you really want to know, ask. They give their e-mail and telephone number on their website.

Like most marketing websites, they do want you to get excited about the product and perhaps get into buzz-word bingo. Personally I don't know about all of those theories and how they would be implemented (and I really think very few in this forum could claim an in-depth understanding of them), just that their running real-world performance is good. I only have a masters degree :-)

In any event, I have the software. I don't work for them or get any benefit from my comments.

It does work pretty well but has some areas they could do better, I think. For example it will tell you what orders to place, but has no ability to place them. It just shows you the way you need to fill out the screen. If you trade at certain levels, you have to pay a data fee (kind of like TradeStation). They show you how to trade for news and non-news times. They also come from the stock & commodities world and use terminology more familiar there.

It's a family business (Father, son, and daughter) and they're always willing to talk and help. They've released some training videos available to the public for now (www.forexprofitpro.com/client-videos/)

I had bought the system when it was released many years ago. It was a rehash of bill william's indicators with some fancy names. So, you can blame me that I never looked at it. I just said what I thought of the system.

Well, that's kinda why I wanted to see if it could be made into a similar EA for MetaTrader. That way, orders can be placed and modifications made..
