I guess you have posted in this thread by the last posts, but in fact, here are discussing about a specifc breakout method.

I reccomend you to post on general discussion forum to obtain a better response, and pls, be more specific.

You question sounds like "how is the weather in planet earth".

I assume you´re talking about EAs (expert advisors). Most of them are free and some not.
Parameter to change depends on each EA. You have a long journey to walk.

Can anyone post the rules for Dolly?
I can't find any documentation on that. Right now I don't know what to look for.
Can you give a simple example?

I'd like to know what to do with Dolly on days when the price enters the Dolly Range at sell level or below.

am I to go short right away?

what if the price enters at buy level or above ?

are we suppose not to trade under these conditions ?

Well, the hard part, when the system is telling nothing.

In these days, when the prices are deeped into the buy or sell zone we need to distinguish two things

First: yesterdays breakout was to stronger and we´re waiting for a price correction?

Second: we´re in a (yesterdays) breakout trend continuation and prices will keep going up/down?

The answer for the first answer it´s easy: Just look to the TSR and (IE) if the cable moved yesterday 215 pips today we´re goin to have a flat day.

Flat days are for play tennis, watching Tv, read some forex book, whatever you want. The only thing what is dangerous to do is trading.

The second it´s a little more complicated. Price moved into the normal range during yesterday and today is in the buy/sell zone and we need to "guess" if will keep going to north/south.

The problem is: Dolly is not a trend follower system.

So, if you insist in trade, move to a bigger TF (h1) and watch the indicators. Specially the channel. Look for support and resistance levels. Wait for a new PSAR break. Wait for a retracement and sell/buy again.

hi there,

I have been trying Dolly quiet a while now and so far it's been good to me... having tried WSS 9.22 I guess Dolly is much better... but still I miss the time when WSS giving out an alert when there is a breakout... I guess it woke you up when you're away though it can be a nuisance sometimes...

so, could you please add an alert to Dolly, maybe by default just let it be false (off) so if you wanna put an alert "On" it's there... just to know when Dolly is hungry or something...
