MaksiGen breakout (blue/red dotted lines) are for M30 timeframe (just switch the chart between timeframes and indicator will "catch" the 'right' breakout levels.

Unfortunately, I have no coding skills whatsever, but perhaps one of our many expert coders, might take a crack at coding an ADX filter. I use the standard Average Directional Movement Index with great success and have envisioned a more user friendly version to help in my trading decisions.
Two formats that would work are modeled after Igorad and CJA indicators.
The logic that I would implement using default ADX(14) setting is:
RED bar when ADX is above 20 and -DI is above +DI
LIGHT CORAL bar when ADX is below 20 and -DI is above +DI
BLUE bar when ADX is above 20 and +DI is above -DI
LIGHT BLUE bar when ADX is below 20 and +DI is above -DI
Here is a pic of Igorad and CJAs indicators to give you a an idea and I will also attach their indicators to use as templates for any one who wouldn't mind taking the time to apply for ADX as I have described above.
Copied from “Narrow Range Thread” . I'm trying to filter my signals and the best one's seem to have narrow range bars as the signal bar.
I trade 5minute cable looking for turning points. When prices are topping and I get a signal I sell 1 pip below the last closed bar.
When prices are bottoming and I get a signal I buy 1 pip above the last closed bar.
Like I say the best signals seem to have a narrow range but if someone has other suggestions please feel free to speak up.
Ideally the narrow range indicator would have a input value that can be adjusted.
