I want to say that my nick 'newdigital' is not connected with digital filters. But I started this thread to discuss and explain about trading strategies based on the digital filters only. And to understand how to implement those filters.
I will post and describe to you and to myself about the difital filters strategies step by step. If we know about those strategies we will know how to use those filters in our own strategies.

Thanks for the good words.
I will describe about the difital filters' trading strategies step by step (day by day let's say). Of course I am the great sceptic about those strategies because they based on the digital filters only. But anyway we must understand it because we may use some filters. What are those strategies?
6 or 7 filters simultaneously: two filters are producing the signals, the other 3 or 4 are filtering etc. We may change one or two indicators to the others to receive our trading systems. That is why I will study it (together with everybody).
In the end of this thread we (and me) will understand exactly how to use the digital filters.
And Coders' Guru will finish some indicator's lessons in that time (and will start EAs' lessons). So, it will be the time when we all together will be able to do a lot for ourselves.
It is not the development yet.
I am studying digital filters and will post the strategies from different sources with my comments, full explanation, images and so on. You may participate of course. Because I am not an expert.
The main task of this thread is to understand how to use it much more easy in our own trading strategies.
- FATL - Fast Adaptive Trend Line (suppression of high-frequency noise market cycles with very short periods of fluctuation);
- SATL - Slow Adaptive Trend Line (suppression of noise and market cycles with more longer periods of fluctuation);
- RFTL - Reference Fast Trend Line;
- RSTL - Reference Slow Trend Line (RFTL and RSTL are the analogues of MA in the sense of their delay for current prices);
- FTLM - Fast Trend Line Momentum;
- STLM - Slow Trend Line Momentum (FTLM and STLM show rate of changing (falls or growing) of FATL and SATL calculated similarly with Momentum indicator but using smoothing as a result of filtrations of the price);
- RBCI - Range Bound Channel Index (band-pass filter for filtration of low-frequency trend and high-frequency noise);
- PCCI - Perfect Commodity Channel Index (this indicator is similar with Commodity Channel Index CCI but having the different calculation).
On the image filter4.gif we may see FTLM and STLM.
If we want to have more nice appearance of the indicators we may see it on filter5.gif and filter6.gif images (attached).
