I follow CME currency futures witch is nearly the same but with smaller spread and easier to place orders and not beeing ripped off in news items and posibilitys to trade whatever kind of market from only 1 account. A professional trader has to stand open for every kind of market because before you know it a certain market will show extreem low daily ranges that with the same effort one can make a lot more money on completely different markets.
Trying to fish for salmon upstream on a river in december doesn't make any sence..then one can better go fishing in the sea for cod or even better, king crab.

Hello Igor just wanted to show appreciation for your work, I'm not a member of your room yet but I'm looking forward to joining. I just wanted to ask you about CME Futures. I noticed you use them and was wondering if you can explain a bit the differences between them and our current brokers.

Are there any specific requirements for someone to open an account? I googled and I found "Chicago Mercentile Exchange" so I don't know if its the same thing we are talking about. Thanks in advance...

The difference is that cme futures are traded directly on the CME market so no broker or market maker in between.
No fiddeling with prices by the broker or any other strange things where people complain about.

The are also better to use with limit orders or S/L or T/P because you do not need to add everytime the spread as you need to do on FX.
The spread is 1 pip on eur/usd.

The advantage I have also is that from 1 single account I can trade what ever kind of market world wide where if you trade most of the fx brokers you can only trade FX. Some MT4 brokers offer other kind of markets but most of them are highly questionable and I would not recommend them if one wants to trade with serious amounts of money.
News items are also correct on cme where on fx brokers they freez platforms or widen spread to redicilous amounts....

But one needs to have some money to trade them because they charge quite some money as margin to trade 1 contract (+/- 2500$). Many people have this kind of money in their whole account.

The leverage comes to +/- 50:1 trading a cme currency future.

Although you know trading much better than other traders in this thread, people here want to trade currencies. The reason is, as far as I could think, that people don't want to change their broker and trading platforms and they are not familiar with other markets. And this is the forex-tsd.com not futures-tsd.com or whatever.

So, if you can really make profits with your system on currencies (even though the profits could be smaller than those of futures), why not show them what they want?

Once, with any broker, they find your system profitable enough on currencies which is the only market they (might) know, some of them will ask you to show them how to trade futures for more profits.

However if you continue to avoid showing what people want, they will eventually lose interest in your system. You don't want this, do you?

I suppose it's all up to you since you know better and can do better. Way to go!

I think you don't understand it completely.
I personally trade the euro but on cme currency future. Wich is the same price action as the euro on the FX. All people in the room trade the euro on the FX.
I don't say that people need to change to what I trade. From the very first day that I traded the FX, I do it true cme currency futures. All systems I introduced here on forex-tsd are based on the FX.

The only difference is that I trade my signals on the euro cme future and that the members trade the systems or signals on the euro FX.

So it is not a matter that I need to trade what people want. We all trade the same index with the same under-laying value.

No one in the trading room have ever doubted what I trade or said that I would have an advantage or they would have a disadvantge.

If one goes to OANDA then he has also 1 pip spread on the euro and also 50:1leverage. You say that I can make more money but we all know that you can go to a 100:1,200:1 or even 400:1 broker that will produce 8x times more profit then I make.
In the room, if we compare the differences in price one can have now and then between a MT4 platform and oanda well they are the same as the differences I can have on a cme future and an MT4 platform. So no advantage nore disadvantage.

Try to see it also as this: you people ask yourself questions as you stand on the side line. People in the room are fully aweare what is going on and they know I would never trade something where I have an contious advantage on them. We all need to have the same weapons.
But fact is that my favorite financial instrument is the german BUND FGBL.
If people want to trade it they can true an MT4 broker as WHC or go to an normall broker.

That means that what I show in results can be achieved by everyone. So that means that people can addapt to what I show or where I proof where one can make nice money (even with a MT4 broker). But not vice versa(1).
There is a saying: if the mountain doesn't come to Mohamed, then Mohamed will go to the mountain.

(1)Meaning that you can addapt to markets or instruments where you can make money but don't expect that I need to addapt where you want to make money ( because you feel that you are married to your broker).

Igor thanks a lot for your reply, actually I am becoming more and more interested in the cme futures that you trade, because soon my brother wants to start investing real money into forex, and he's not satisfied with any of the current brokers.

If you could please tell me what broker you use to access cme currency futures because I don't know where to look. Thanks in advance.

To start, I don't flame so don't consider this a flame. First of all I am a newbie to Forex and obviously I don't understand everything that goes on. I come to Forex TSD these days only to read this thread and another that garnered my interest. I found what I was looking for finally and in the upcoming months if all goes well I am going to join in this excellent-looking service. Can't wait to try out the super-Safe S&R MaTRiX_ZoRRo system.

I have spent a lot of time reading this thread and one thing bothers me. It is obvious that Igor spends a lot of time on this thread and it is irksome that the same questions are asked over and over again... I'm sure I will be guilty of this in the future (since I am still learning basic things) but we should all at least take the time to read the thread in its entirety before we pose questions that have already been sufficiently addressed by Igor in previous posts... this will give him more time to teach us NEW things, rather than re-hashing old topics that have already been covered. Anyways, I will get off my soapbox now. Just wanted to say thanks Igor, please don't consider this as cheer leading, I simply appreciate your honestly and sincerity and am secretly begging you not to go anywhere before I learn everything I can from you and your group!!!
