Doc,

When you close for maintenence do you provide a script for the client to restart their MT4 terminal and log in, without being present?

ES, absolutely. The MT4 platform is setup as a system service. It is automatically restarted if the server is taken down for maintenance.

Looks like a very old thread, but can I also install a SMTP Mail server on your remote server, to send email alerts from MetaTrader.

I have one on my PC but would like it to run uninterrupted like the MT4.

Hi There,

Sure we support email alerts being sent from the MT4 platform to any email address you wish. It doesn't require installing a SMTP mail server though.
