Hi nittany1,

You are jumping to conclusion too quickly. First of all you are testing the system on one pair which is not a good idea. There was a reason that I develped the EA for several pairs - to enhance the risk of trades. While a trade on a pair loses the others may win so you spread the risk and reduce the chance of losing money.

If you refer to the materials that I have published it is clearly mentioned that PipBoxer can stay in loss zone for several weeks on a specific pair. On some pairs it shows up to 8 consecutive losses so what you have seen in the past few weeks is not abnormal. I am trading it live and I don't regret it because I know the system. I have spread my risk between 8 pairs and it's making money.

The last but not the least if you had tested AUDUSD instead of GBPUSD in the past few weeks there had been not even one losing trade. All of the trades either hit TP or ended up with 4 pips of profit. Then it could change your point of view about PipBoxer.

Thanks for your comments,
Al

Drawdowns are Quite Natural

Nittany1,

Please take a look at the following image. This is taken from back-test results for PipBoxer GBPUSD. As you can clearly see PB went down from trade 14 to 24. This means that there were 10 trades that generated drawdowns. Since this pair trades about 2 trades per week this means that for about 5 weeks the system lost money then it took it another 3 to 4 weeks to get back to breakeven. These cycles are quite natural about PipBoxer.

PipBoxer is not for somebody who is looking for instant money. I personally do not beleive in the existence of such systems. There are some trading systems out there that might generate huge amount of money in short period of time but they'll lose it quickly. PipBoxer is different because it's money management tools, risk management tools, and capability of risk diversification help you build your account gradually and constantly. There is almost no quorters that you will go down but of course there are weeks and even months that you see drawdown.

There is also another major difference between PB and many other systems out there. PipBoxer is being monitored constantly. I update the code and parameters to make sure the system reacts to the changes of market behaviour.

Thanks,
Al

Version: 2.0.4
Pair: GBP/USD

I've been trading live with it for almost two months. I've never run it on a demo account and backtesting is close to worthless. Right now it's losing me another 83 pips on a short order from last week. It's about 25 pips away from the stop loss.

It's losses outpace its wins by 59% so far.
