One of my clients asked about the reason that PipBoxer V2 opens a new trade on the same pair while previous trade(s) are open. I thought the answer might also be useful to others. Please let me know if you have questions about the following paragraphs.
PipBoxer evaluates the market on a daily basis and finds out whether there is an opportunity to enter the market or not. This decision is made independent of previous open trades. Now if there are two trades of the same pair open in opposite directions and the sizes of trades are the same hedging occurs. The hedging frees your margin and allows you to enter new trades as if these two trades are not open. It also fixes the open losses and/or profits on this pair open till one of them get closed (you’ll just pay for the swap).
Let me give you an example of my live trades. PipBoxer opened a short trade on EURGBP on April 17. This trade is still open. While this trade was open with a wide SL/TP levels, the system entered a long trade on April 26 and a short trade on April 27 with shorted profit targets. Both trades hit TP. If I had stopped it from entering those trades I actually had stopped the system from gaining more. Now if my current open trade hits SL I don’t mind because I made enough from those two trades. I’m also making money through a positive swap on this open trade
