I am afraid you wont have a good chance of getting filled 30 sec before news time.

This is how its done

When you are with a Dealing Desk Broker, you don't see real quotes, only the one's the broker wants you to see because it passes through various servers for flattening the rates and THEN through the dealing desk.

If a Brokers fills you 30 Seconds before the news, he is filling you on his own responsability since No liquidity provider in the world will allow him to back to back hedge this Position of your's 30 seconds before a big announcement.

What we propose at aleccohfx is totally different. We are giving you the possibility to be DIRECTLY CONNECTED with our liquidity provider (ECN). We do not interfere. Once you hit the buy or sell button , your order , along with Interb..... and Fx... and Veloc.... , goes into the same CUE.

You are filled as are filled full Brokers. This is why, if you Win ,you will get paid.

In a word, you orders will be filled 100% 5 min prior to news, 80% 4 min prior, 50% 3 min.... and so on.

What i would advise News traders is this :

1- Use Straddle to your advantage and never trade the actual Spike because, even if you win despite the server freezing, slippage and requotes, you will probably not get paid if it is a large position (cf all traders blacklisted for winning on Secret forex society)

2- try to learn and trade the news retracement or aftermath. It is less nerves consuming and more Professional

More. Lets say an important USD news release is due. 5 minutes before, I buy EURUSD and I sell EURUSD. 1 minute or less before, I set the stop loss.

Will that stop loss be honored or I should set it 5 minutes before too?

You must understand that ALL Orders, Buy stop , sell stop, stop loss, take profit etc.. are orders sent in a CUE to the liquidity provider server. Once there They are honored to the cent.

You'll have to Try it yourself and experiencing it Live and in real time is my only good answer to you.

I cannot do more then putting you Directly in contact with a liquidity provider that is by the way one of the Biggest bnanks in the world.

This is usualy done for Big amounts and is based on commision Plus Spread fee.

Yes it works, BUT I've refined it quite a bit. Sigh... ( enter what can only sound like a cheesy sales pitch, sorry ) I haven't updated the thread because I'm using the new version as a paid service over at 4xlounge. I didn't intend for my "Old Dog" thread to be a teaser at all. In fact, I posted that before I started 4xlounge, so I really do use it.

Hint: look at fibo pivots as they relate to stops and limits. Basically, you can catch breakouts and hold them longer... Sorry, if I post the EA, nobody will use 4xlounge, lol... but a little self testing on your part and..?

In a word, We do not have access to it once its there and even if aleccohfx dissapears , the money will be in these accounts for you and you only (minus your losses or plus your profits of course)
