I'm in

I'm in.

I don't see what the big deal is. A guy publicly puts his money where his mouth is for loads of people, and still gets a ton of crap!

I swear, on the Internet you cannot win, sometimes, even if you "Show them the money!"

I say Mr Aleccho has balls of steel and guts to back it up.

This thread is so long, I'm having problems finding the exact instructions to open the minimum account for 200 pips (and yeah, Aleccho can run some of my money afterwards in a managed account - not that I have a whole lot to lose - yet!)

It's funny for me to call it a "challenge," as I don't doubt for a second he is a man of his word.

Anyway, if someone can point out the post that has the nitty-gritty details on opening the account for the challenge, I would appreciate it. I'm wading through the thread now, looking for it. I have a XpressTrade forex account, but I know a lot of folks don't take that platform too seriously.

Thanks all, and happy profits for everyone!

These kinds of posts that make senior members think alecco is a scammer?
1- This is your first post
2- I swear, on the Internet (are we still in high school) where you get this phrase from, and the whole sentence does not make sense.
3- I say Mr Aleccho has balls of steel and guts to back it up.( what backs up your word) or your just kissing ass for him to trade your account?
4- It's funny for me to call it a "challenge," as I don't doubt for a second he is a man of his word. ( again what backs up your word) how could you be so sure ?
To answer your question look 4 posts back and you will see another junior member from alecco team made a post on how to open an account.
Guys I have nothing against alecco, if you want to open an account simply send him or send one of his team a message you don’t need to kiss anyone ass for that, ( double check with alecoo cause after this post you may need to kiss his), since you did him worse than good, with your silly post.
I hope it’s quite clear why I am here, after next week is over and once alecco proven he can deliver no one will question alecco anyone, and if it makes you happy once he made 200 pips a week I will call him a master

Few Questions

I've been reading this thread and sounds interesting.

As am a newbie, I try to understand few things: we have to open a mini account ($1000) but what is the minimum investment allowed? is it $250?

Another thing: People are supposed to earn 200 pips/week right? But What is the margin and the pip value? 1 pip=$10?

Thnx for your reply!

PS: I keep reading here and will join in 1-2 weeks (or so) if I see ppl get paid... I hope it won't be too late!

well , so the challenge is still alive here. I thought the 200 pips challenge is over. here is my 2 pips on this thread.
some weeks ago I sent him a pm and asked to participate in challenge , first he told me challenge is over and when I insisted and told him I can give him a large account to manage. he accepted the challenge , he sent me an email to open an account under his IB group in IBFX. but for some reasons I was not able to open an account there , so I told him my account is in another broker which doesnt have micro lots. he told me he needs a 15K-25K for the challenge !
for trading 0.1 lots ! first I accepted , but then I thought why would anyone need such a large account for trading just 0.1 lots ?!!! as he is trading very small lot size , BINGO ! for drawdowns !
anyone who has seen alecco statements , knows he is using some kind of martingale. it is the reason he needs large accounts or very small lot size to trade.
I am not against alecco and I DONT SAY HIS STRATEGY DOESNT WORK , i just personally did not like his strategy and risk reward ratio.
he was kind enough to give me his phone number and I talked to him by phone , I should say thank you to him for accepting my account for challenge , but I changed my idea. I wish the best for him and lots of money for himself and his clients.
Regards

Thanks a lot for your feedback, I love those objective posts.
Risk/reward is a personal issue it differ from one person to another, what suite one trader may not suite another.

I think alecco has a point if he wants to mange people money he needs to be on the safe side, which means small consistent income. For that he will need large account and trade small lots.

The party is on, and my account is on the dancing floor

Alecco,

I have no idea how your system works, its certainly different from my trading style, I don't think I can trade it manually, but its fun to watch, more or less like video games.

to fifth element

the 200 pips challenge is over, this is not a challenge its a public beta testing of a new E.A. fully automated that i supervised and that has not yet been approved by aleccoh.
Mr Aleccoh has put these restrictions on me in order to forward test publicly the 2.16 E.A.
1. 1000$ minimum in the initial balance
2. 0.01 lots traded (0.01$ per pip) for the security of the beta testers
3. this E.A. wont be part of our trading strategies until 2009

i hope i have been clear enough

From what I have gone thru with aleccoh, it sounds to me you have things mixed up. The 200pips challenge is officially over as announced by aleccoh (except for MiniMe), so I think the 25K account under his IB group is for real managed account trading for 1pip=$10.
Of course I have no idea exactly what you discussed with aleccoh, this is just my view based on what I have discussed with him.

As far as large account balance and risk reward ratio, I also agree it tends to be on the low side compared to other MA I have. But the difference is that there is very small drawdown, at least so far the drawdown I have seen has been small inspite of doubling of lots, compared with my other MA account which gives very "exciting" drawdowns. So, I think it is different strategy therefore different drawdowns, different risk reward ratio. I have no idea which one is better in the long run, I will have to wait and see. At least for now, I find that the aleccoh strategy is slow and steady, with equity going up all the time.

correction alecco its 372 your missing two pips .

I agree with you qq1, steady income with a small risk is the best way to survive in forex.

I am looking at the trades and I like the way the account being traded even though its not my trading style.

Its too early for me to judge, I will wait till the end of the week but so far so good.
