More worringly, there seems to be absolutely no information forthcoming as to why the "Broker/Liquidity provider" is witholding the funds in the first place - especially when Aleccoh went out of his way from the outset to assure us that our money was 100% safe.
It was my understanding that Aleccohfx held the funds, not some other "Broker/Liquidity provider" - incidently, the very one that Aleccoh defends several times in this thread as reputable! It's beginning to look like Aleccoh may have been just another account holder with them, pooling our hard-earned dollars in one of his own accounts...
I decided to be more blunt. Not my style. But I've had too much experience in this area to just be quiet.
Again, I say openly I support Alecco and know he is an honest man.
But just as openly I will tell you about what goes on when the authorities are called.
This is precisely what will happen.
1. They will see there is money involved and will call the appropriate agency.
2. The appropriate agency will see there is money involved and lick their lips.
3. They will then FREEZE everything they can find that is connected. They will continue licking their lips and offering "comforting" words to you such as "we are working on it."
4. They will appoint a "receiver" to take control of all monies while he finds the "facts". The "receiver" will do just that. He will receive YOUR money. He will be paid about $100-300K per month to find out what's going on. He takes that money out of YOUR money. The govt DOESN'T pay.
5. It is to his advantage to keep this up as long as possible. He also has an expense account to find the "facts" with. Guess who pays the bill???? You do.
6. If there is NO wrongdoing, the company is shut down anyway.
One outstanding example of this cost a friend of mine 2 million. After all was said and done years later the receiver found that indeed the company did have the assets they claimed! It is now 4 years later and they are still finding "facts" and have not returned 10 cents to ANYONE. Those at Refco are lucky. They got 50 cents back on the dollar years later.
Another point- look at examples of corporate misbehaviors. Are any of their CEO's being punished for what they have done? Occasionally.
The government will NOT help you.
Still think calling the authorities is a good idea?
Consider this. Let's say it's true that Alecco is doing all possible.
At least that presents you with a chance to get all your money back and possibly quickly.
You call the authorities and everyone loses equally.
That's the way I see it, and I've seen it enough times to know what I'm talking about.
Since you state you openly support this gentleman and know he is a honest man. Please give us some concrete evidence to support this claim. I'm not a mind reader. Have you met him in real life? How long have you known him? What makes you qualified to make such a statement? What events have supported your claim that you can share? Sorry to be this blunt, but we don't know who you are.
The truth is that if there is any funny business, then your money is as good as gone already. He just stated that they are offering him 50 cents on the dollar. Yet, he can't discuss why the funds are even with another broker. Excuse me? But we should all overlook these glaring discrepancies. I think all the investors would want to know what is going on with their money. Who is on his trading "team"? I don't think that is too much to ask for people who actually sent money to this man. If he has a gag order, then have someone come here to post anonymously, and let everyone in on what the hell is going on.

So, what the hell is going on ???
Why the hell your "most reputable LP out there" wants our money?

Sorry folks, I simply have not yet figured out how to use the multiple quote thing, so I copy and paste.

Short Biography.
I am old.
I have been trading for 3 years.
I was in nursing and medical administration plus worked volunteer for multiple private charities from 1962 to 1994. In 1993 I was in an auto accident that I did not cause. At the time it seemed that I was ok and my vehicle only slightly damaged. Within days I started becoming ill and have struggled with ill health ever since and such still affects me profoundly.
I have actually been dead once for a few minutes, and close to death several other times. This gives remarkable insight as to what's important in life and people.
From 1994 I attempted multiple home businesses because I wanted to support myself. I actually had a business that was becoming very successful quickly that I literally ran from my bed because I couldn't stay up for long, and then the main company went down and so did my business. The world of nursing is very different from the business world, so I have learned a lot about being scammed including in Forex, where I have had 2 brokers steal from me and/or my clients, and one broker shut down by the NFA.
Not surprisingly, and since I am old as well, I have learned the characteristics of scammers, liars and thieves, and have learned the characteristics of honest people, too.
I am going to take a minute to define what I mean by honest in the context of business and to me on a personal level as well. To be honest isn't just to avoid lying. To me an honest person does make mistakes of multiple sorts, but is willing to take responsibility for them and does not run from them.
I have known Alecco for several months. Initially we discussed trading. I found that he truly had a passion for trading and a deep concern for people. We discovered we had something personal in common, and we became friends. It was during that time that I found he had great personal integrity and was willing to put whatever was necessary on the line to accomplish what was right. I cannot and won't violate his confidences which were confirmed by others involved, but I CAN tell you this.
The day before the problems started on this forum, I emailed Alecco asking for help with something I felt was critical to the lives of MANY others. He called me and within an hour Alecco had called the people involved and was working on it putting his OWN resources on the line not asking ME or them for anything other than necessary information. Now I am not talking 100% about money here, I am talking about solid business resources that could not have been developed overnight like a scam artist would have.
I talked with a member of his trading team Alecco introduced me too. The guy was a REAL trader as we discussed specific trading methods and money management. He had no reason to lie and told me he came into Aleccos offices several hours a day and traded. He told me he was very happy working for Alecco, that he was doing well and was able to pursue his education without depending on others. He was young and very sincere. His delight in his situation was so palpable that I had to laugh with joy.
This conversation told me a few things as well. That Alecco was in a solid place of business and he paid his employees. I wish I could give you an exact date that I had this conversation, but I know it was before Alecco had been inviting people to his brokerage for any length of time and the young man had already been with Alecco about 6 months. Scam artists use people, not pay them.
From this forum alone, we know that Alecco is not running. Scam artists RUN- they don't bother to tell you anything.
Alecco has said very plainly that when the gag order is off he will explain what happened.
I must give my opinion that Alecco does not owe ANYBODY but his investors any explanations and that includes me. I believe he is being beyond courteous in offering what he does, and that he is willing to explain what has happened as soon as the legal matters are done.
I hope I have explained what I know to your satisfaction. If I have not, there is not much more I can say.

Hopefully there will be another briefing that makes this message obsolete, but the history of this thread suggests that that may not be the case.
I don't profess to know everything in life - but I do know a few things...
And I cannot conceive of a situation whereby investor's money is tied up in a dispute - but the principle parties aren't allowed to comment on that dispute - even to the point of providing a general outline of what has gone on with the investor's money.
The world just doesn't work that way, period.
If there's a gag order from a legal authority - post a copy of it.
If an attorney has recommended not commenting on this case - post their opinion.
But the idea that this matter is "just too secret" for the investors to know what has happened to tie up their money is simply absurd. So stop it!
The only viable, helpful and realistic information recently conveyed in this thread was offered by Igor back in post #1537. If your money is tied up - you'd better go back and look into following his suggestions.
We know that Alleccoh scans this thread before offering each new briefing. So maybe this message will spur him to provide at least the bare bones of the basic information that the investors are clearly entitled to.
And to idontdowindoughs - you come off as a very sincere and caring person and are certainly the master of the sentimental story. But in all reality - you're not being helpful to the investors who are deserving of transparent explanations and the action required to free up their money.
And if you're such a good friend and character witness for this gentleman, I'm surprised that you don't know how to spell his name.
Again, at a minimum, I believe this post will motivate Alleccoh to be more forthcoming to the people who placed the most trust in him. But if his next briefing is like previous briefings - go check out Igor's advice - FAST!

"And if you're such a good friend and character witness for this gentleman, I'm surprised that you don't know how to spell his name."
I did and DO spell it correctly. H is his last initial.
From the post by Swagboy, who is apparently an account holder, they are informed. We are not account holders and are not informed to the same extent they are and that is as it should be. In my opinion, Alecco's silence is for their benefit at this point. When they have their money back, he will say what needs to be said.

Alecoh is a crook , he should be JAILED
All those who have money with Alecoh should go to the Police immediately before it is too late. We have give enough time for Alecoh but nothing yet

Although I have nothing to do with allecohfx to begin with.. I would just like to state a small fact to help with your knowledge..
90% of A class banks in switzerland have gag orders on all investments/business until the end of a contract/contract cancellation.
This is pretty much to keep the bad seeds out.. Because lets face it every one is looking for a quick buck.
Just thought I would help ya out there.... You will find the same in other places like Hong Kong and possibly singapore (never done business in singapore).

Thank you for the response. If it is true, at least, I think this will put many of his investors mind somewhat at ease. I'm not questioning you credentials, that was never my intention, I apologize if that's how it came out. I was more interested in your dealings with this man, and how you came to your conclusion.
In the end, you have never met him, you have only known him for months, and your judgements are based on phone conversations, which is almost as anonymous as this forum. For all we know, it's all fictitious and you are part of his team. It's just the way the internet works.
I really do hope that this man is as honest as you think, for everyone's sake.
And you are absolutely right about his owing his investors some explaination. It's their money on the line. I could care less what the reason is. But it's hard to have YOUR money frozen without any explanation, and then be told that they are offering 50 cents on the dollar....huh? How about this? Since you put your reputation on the line. You get on the phone, make a call to his trader teammate or himself. Get the real story. Then send it privately to his investors as anonymous "theories" of what is going on. At least we can tell what is happening and if it is BS legally or just more smoke/mirrors.
