Quite a few 'reliable' posters on TSD that have been IBFX customers also claim it is one of the worst MT brokers... Personally, at this stage I think a 'good MT compatible broker' is a contrdiction in terms
Depending on your modus operandi, the broker you choose is almost irrelevant. No one is perfect. You have only to avoid the scammers (like Aleccohfx) and find the one that best suits you. I state again. Recently, InterbankFX has had very few freezes, disconnections and spread widenings. I don't expect any broker to be free of this from time to time. And for my MO this is not critical. Good trading to all.
IBFX is "OK" but you MUST be there watching all the time for disconnects, or else have an alert system in place if you're away for running an EA.
I'm going to open with Alpari US when they make that available for US players on March 1st.
Still on brokers and scammers, I think the threads of Forexsavior are a must. Will save a lot of money to everyone who pays attention to what is said there.

Hi!
Jairo, are you an IB of InterbankFX?
Could you post here the spread you had today at 09:30gmt on GBPUSD and GBPJPY?

I am highly frustrated with the service at Aleccoh. Nobody answers my emails most of all Roger. Mr Aleccoh has just decided to jump ship. What a bunch of absolute idiots. I opened my account through a bank in Beirut. Does anybody have a contact person and telephone number that i could contct re : closing down my account. I consider this in the same vain as fraud. these guys are messing with us and our funds i am sick to death of them !!! Next step is we should all report them to the authorities what they are doing is illegal.
Let me recheck my calendar.... yes, it's February 21st!
So, did the NFA cooperate, or are we stuck with another one of those annoying bureaucratic delays?
Will there be a separate website for the USA side of things?
Although I'm a bit disturbed by the problems on the Swiss side, I'm ready to give the USA side a test drive.
P.S. To Omelette: The wording in the review on that video doesn't meet standards of scam. Nothing about if help was asked for or received, nothing about whether a refund was asked for or received. It would not have passed moderation no matter what service it was submitted for. If less than perfect results and not liking something equals a Scam rating, then everything in forex would be scam and there would be no need for reviews. Just so we don't keep hijacking Aleccoh's thread, feel free to open another thread here at Forex-TSD or at Forex Peace Army and I'll be happy to discuss further.

On the contrary, I think it is entirely relevant - it is difficult enough to make money trading, without your broker also either trading against you, or profiting in some other way from your losing! With Metatrader brokers, one should never lose sight of the fact that they have paid Metaquotes $100,000 for 'something' above and beyond the ability to aquire loads of a-few-hundred dollar accounts - every single one of them expects quick returns of that amount, plus interest!
Maybe I have limited 'scope' having only ever had three brokers - Ameritrade, who I thought were excellent, but their commissions were too high, InteractiveBrokers, who apart from the flaky platform and poor CC, is great, and Aleccohfx, who... - let's just say it has been a learning experience!
If only some 'proper' broker would step in and fill the void, offering MT EA emulation on their platforms...

Hi Nina,
I am just a client of InterbankFX. I trade only EURUSD. The spread has been 2 pips almost 100% of the time (frequently even at news time). I chose EURUSD for liquidity and spread. I don't follow any other pair for now. Sorry not to be able to help. Good trading.

Hi Omelette,
For EA trading these are really serious issues. But my trading is completely discretionary, so I don't mind at all if my broker is InterbankFX or any other. For now I have only tried IBFX and intend only to try others for diversification purposes (spread the risk of a broker failure).
