Am I correct?
Yes, that is correct. You can send us closed source with a function to confirm the account number they are attached to if you are concerned we would steal them. What I offer is a faster, more reliable connection to the broker for faster execution.

This reduces requotes and slippage through lower latency. This also permits "trailing close" code that reads the recent data and decides in the EA to close the trades, same functionality as a Trailing stop, but without any limitations or knowledge from the broker.

All of the money you make from the EA is yours. We simply provide the best connection available and give you the level of control and monitoring you desire. Since we don't take any of your EA profits, charging you for our service allows us to provide the service.

We can also proactively deal with errors. You can define rules like "if Error 130, close the instance EA is running on." Although we won't offer this immediately, I do plan to implement an "on error run mouse macro" script as well, which can do anything predefined or log reactive you would like.

Of course, we also offer advanced datacenter hosting solutions, like scheduled start and stop times, backups, higher uptime, etc. Since the standard VPS hosting solution doesn't allow you to automatically and reliably reconnect on VPS restart, this seems like a valuable solution to me. I have offered people a series of windows hacks to help start up their hosted EA using VPS, and all of the windows hacks I offered (including editing the registry) had inadequacies for one reason or another.

Due to my additional research (I actually tested the response time of tech support) the EA hosting service will not officially launch until Friday, Dec 15 with trading starting Sunday Dec 17.

This will allow the EA to be up for the holidays, and you can all enjoy time with your families. We will also offer an additional filter if you want your EA turned off for Dec 24/25 for all accounts.

Short version: I set up a server and didn't like the company.

This sounds like a good offer. Be sure to let us know when you lower the prices. I'm trying to setup something on a VPS right now, but when the price hits $20 or lower I will seriously consider your offer.

Too bad MT4 doesn't have a Linux version

I have MT4 working in linux Works for EA, but not for backtesting. The editor works too, but code completion doesn't work.

I need to see about getting some of the other MetaTrader tools working in linux as well, or using linux equivalents. As soon as I get the other software, or alternatives, working then I can lower the prices since the performance will be much higher.

Do these levels have to do with pricing? What level will I get for basic service which costs $30?

Thanks

Level 1 = $30/month with 1 account number and 4 currencies at this time. Basic monitoring is included to make sure your Metatrader process is running and connected to broker.

These prices are speculative, and based on scalability/performance numbers. The prices are calculated based on the number of installations I can have running simultaneously on a machine with good performance. As a very baseline number, I know I can have 20 accounts running at low performance and 15 accounts running with decent performance. The server should have higher performance on hardware than my system at home, but I used the numbers for my home machine to guess prices.

Since I switched providers, there is a delay getting the real world data. The people who sign up for beta will have their prices retroactively reduced if I have a sudden breakthrough within the first month of service that allows 2x-4x the number of installations. The pricing is based on breaking even on a fully loaded machine every 6 months. It will take several months tofill up a machine, and then 4-6 months to pay it off. If I load a machine up every two months, then I have to take thousands of dollars in outside funding every two months, knowing that I will get paid back in half a year. When the official release comes, there will likely also be a very big discount for 6 month prepayment and a minor discount after 6 months of paying monthly.

By starting this business I also signed a two year hosting agreement. The first hosting company had no annual agreement, but they also lied about service. Now our support services are part of the agreement, and they guarantee 99.9% uptime, fast service, etc.

I know $30/month isn't the price people are looking for compared to other offers, but I'm hoping to make the service pay for itself with faster trading and exectution. Trading minilots, we would need to gain an extra 30 pips in one month using the service, On full lots, we only need 3 pips and that is very easy on a moderately active system. So even at higher prices, we still provide extra value... but I want to make the service scalable, low cost and very fast. With a basic minimum per account, the prices are much different between (hardware cost)/15 *(6 month revenue) versus (hardware cost)/50*(6 month revenue).

If we can increase the number of installed copies of metatrader without hurting performance, then we decrease the costs to match. We have a very fast but somewhat tricky configuration or this would be easier at first. (The second and third changes to scalability would be impossible though.) We might also offer a "level 0 budget service" with cheaper hardware and a higher upper limit. This would provide "always on" but maybe not "super fast" service. If we can scale up our good services well, then there is no need for a "Level 0 Budget Service" so we don't have one planned yet.

It won't be offered for several months, but our initial eyeball tests of a "race the broker" system indicate a 1.5 second to 2 second lead time. That is the ultimate goal we are reaching for.

Yes we will, open to public day is expected to be Dec 15th. Switching hosting to an honest company caused some delay.

Hahaha. Well you are accusing me of something I try very hard to fight. Community Help: Protecting copyright
That doesn't guarantee that I'm honest, but you will have enough information about me and my business connections after becoming a customer that prosecution would be very easy. After all, I live in the US with the most draconian idiotic copyright laws in the country. Notable federal violations of copyright include possessing certain prime numbers, possession of black magic markers, and criminalizing me just for telling you why those things are illegal because it construes advice on how to break copyright.
