Thread: Blessing 3

All,

Thanks for your patience. As requested, Blessing 3 is being started in a new thread. The latest version will always be found right here, in this first post in the uncompiled (mq4) format. However, in order for this thread to remain all about Blessing 3 and not about other events and activities (set files, Back Tests, Forward Tests, etc...), please click on J Talon LLC in the signature block below.

My intent is to create a discussion about Blessing 3 and it's performance and it is through this forum where that can be accomplished. Many of us have contributed to Blessing and it's performance. I wanted to give everyone who has followed Blessing a better and more user friendly way to work with Blessing and all of its information. Everyone who clicks here will be rewarded with what they have been waiting for!

The hedge trailing stop sometimes got stuck at BE, instead of following the price.
The hedge DD start was being re-initialized at the wrong time (should be when the basket closes, not when the hedge closes).
Fixed a potential problem if the SmartGrid RSI Period was less than the RSI MA Period.
Fixed Closed 0 Positions problem, caused if ca=5.
Fixed the calculation of MaxDD%

Fixed: a bug in the grid calculation if AutoCal is set to true.
Fixed: a zero divide error caused by B3 opening both a buy and sell trade if B3Traditional = false, and the trend is ranging.
Fixed: a bug where the MoveTP in the MaximizeProfit routine would be ignored if the TakeProfit was recalculated for any reason.
Fixed: a bug where the basket may not be closed when the Profit Target was reached if the total moves had been made in the MaximizeProfit routine.
Changed: the number of open lots will now display in orange when the break even level has been reached.

Added: hTakeProfit - any hedge trade will close when the TakeProfit value is reached.
Added: displayRatio - used to increase the label width spacing.

Fixed a bug where the starting lot would not calculate properly if the portion balance dropped.
Fixed a bug where the lot multiplier was reset to 1 if B3 was reloaded/recompiled/settings changed.
Fixed a bug where the TP line was incorrectly displayed if the open hedge lots were equal to the open basket lots.
Fixed a bug where the hedge function could sometimes open another trade if B3 was reloaded/recompiled/settings changed.

An error message will be displayed if the Lot size entered is less than the brokers minimum lot size.
If money management is used, the Lot setting will be the minimum lot size allowed.
Changing UsePowerOutSL to true/false will set/delete the Power Out stop loss.
Fixed: a bug where the the lot size increases were not correctly calculated on accounts with a minimum lot of 0.1.
All trades in the basket will be closed in the order that they were opened, to comply with the FIFO rule.
Fixed: A bug where the LinearLotSize was not taken into account when calculating the starting lot if MM is used.

Question...I backtested that EA and the result are very poor...may be I did it in a wrong way?...I just followed same procedure as I always do...

Backtested how? What pairs, what account size, lot size, pip value, and broker? Describe your testing procedure and where you are getting your data.
Please post your tests, so we can see them.

I have been testing B3 for Iron and have produced several backtests
that have generated exceptional profits and low DD. They are posted
on the B3 site, so you can see exactly how the EA was set up.

As Iron stated above, I do not believe you have tested B3.

i can not use the blessing.mq4,when i copy blessing.mq4 to the indicators file,i open the chart,but can not use it.why?maybe i do not have the .tpl file.who can help me?thank you

It goes in the Expert folder, not the Indicator.

I did and results weren't good...may e I am doing something wrong

Well done...especially the documentation.
anxious to try her out I got Error 130 (turns out I need to have a demo account which I deleted).
That fixed I get order delete and zero devide errors, suspect its by settup...any clues anyone ?
