results for januari

well,

I have tested Excalibur (V3.5 - commercial version) about a month ago for a couple of days on a live account and was disappointed with the results. The account was with FXDD - according to Bernard, Excalibur performs best on IBFX.

So I decided to open a IBFX demo account for $300 and try the EA on demo.
Wow! wish I had that result on my live account. In three weeks, Excalibur has raised the $300 to $900 ...
I close trades whenever they are in good profit and when I see a stall on the charts. 50 - 100 - 200 pips on one trade is more than sufficient for me.

I started trading the EA on default settings with up to 3 concurrent trades, but changed this later on to 1 concurrent trade.

What can I say? I'm convinced. This is really an EA to watch.

edit: account is on $994 now ..

Weeks Take

Bernard,

Little late over here on TSD. Here are the weekly results. This is both Excalibur V3 and V3.5 commercial. The first 3 sets of trades were under V3 and did very well. Middle single trade was a mistake on my part. The last sets were performed by V3.5.

Good Trading
Edward

Thank you for the positive input here. IBFX is the only broker that I find continued results on. The last two weks have been shaky but closing out trades manually has made pips.

IBFX results for 6th week. Standard account starting with $5000.

Rocky week for 30 min eur/usd. Also when I switched to the latest version I left defaults on which changed lots from mm at 10% (which had been default in prior versions) to fixed lots of .1. The first trade which was set as a pending order prior to the switch was a winner at .9 lots. That is what saved the week. Then the next 5 trades were losers and traded after the switch at .1 lots.

Additionally, if I had recalibrated my equity EA to accomodate the change in lot size I could have closed out at least one of the trades with some profit instead of a loss. But I didn't realize it needed to be done until too late.

At any rate I was lucky that things worked out the way they did. Will continue to monitor. Don't really know whether the the lot changes were made by accident or design with the release of the latest version or whether I was supposed to change from default.

Hi Bernard,

Attached is the IBFX statement for week ending 13 Feb 2009. There was no trade done last week.

Since I have opened a live account with IBFX, intend to run Excalibur v3.5 on it and see how it fares in that live account.

We are ready to test Camelot when its available.

best wishes,
kk

its open a opensavedialog, where i can choose the path for the html file.
