Excalibur V3.5
I have been asked again and again how Excalibur works and what it does so I will explain what I can here without revealing all its secrets.
Excalibur V3 is a Automated Trend Trading System and is looking for a breakout signal that is determined by the indicators that are built into it and used by
Excalibur V3.
I have been told that it is not an automated system because you have to actually open the trading platform and place the Excalibur V3 on the proper chart so I guess it is not a complete automated system.
Guess we have to do something manually at times until I figure out how to allow the program to simply be placed in a briefcase or something and it just works. [some humor here].
Excalibur V3 determines a changing trend with the following conditions.
Buy:
1 - Broking the Down Trend;
2 - Crossing of tow Exponential Moving Average: EMA9 Cross Up EMA30;
3 - Momentum value > 100.
Sell:
1 - Broking the Up Trend;
2 - Crossing of tow Exponential Moving Average:EMA9 Cross Down EMA30;
3 - Momentum < 100.
Other condition that determine a signal sent to Excalibur V3 are
Buy:
1 - Breaking the Down Trend;
2 - Crossing of two Moving Average: EMA5 Cross Up SMMA15 (Smooth);
3 - DeMarker value > 0.5 & Force Index >0.
Sell:
1 - Broking the Up Trend;
2 - Crossing of two Exponential Moving Average:EMA5 Cross Down SMMA15;
3 - DeMarker value < 0.5 & Force Index< 0.
Buy:
1 - Crossing of two Exponential Moving Average: EMA5 Cross Up EMA15;
2 - RSI value > 50 & Crossing Up of MACD& Crossing Up of ADX.
Sell:
1 - Crossing of two Smooth Moving Average: EMA5 Cross Down EMA15;
2 - RSI value < 50 & Crossing Down of MACD& Crossing Down of ADX.
Using a combination of the above information Excalibur V3 will either send a sell or a buy signal..
Currently we are placing a pending trade on either side of the signal, above and below the posted price once a order signal is received in an attempt to cover the possibility of a bad signal and allow the currency to move towards the generated signal or away from it.
If there are pending orders or open orders
Excalibur V3 will ignore all other signals for that currency until exiting orders are closed or deleted.
If you have taken a profit and there are still pending trades on the same currency then either leave the pending trades there until they expire or delete them and Excalibur V3 will reset itself and look for a new signal. Either choice is right.
Once an order is set the Take Profit is set to 1000 pips. It would be nice to hit this profit level, but in reality that may never happen. It is set there for a reason and
Excalibur V3 will use its Trailing stop and Profit Start setting to control the final Take Profit. Setting this lower does nothing but confuse
Excalibur V3. If you want to change anything then change the Profit Start in the Trailing Stop loss section.
Each Excalibur V3 is designed and tested for a specific currency and time frame so placing it on a different currency and time frame may give you results you are not ready for. I am working on other currencies and in time we will have one
Excalibur V3 that can be placed on any currency. Until then please follow instructions.
Do not place the Excalibur_Filter indicator on the same chart as Excalibur V3 is running. Aside from loading more into upper memory on your computer you are confusing Excalibur V3. It knows where the indicator is and does not need it placed on the same chart. If you want to see the indicator for reference then place it on a chart by itself.
