What is the best way to load new updates? Do you just add the new updates to the folders and restart the IBFX platform,and the new updates will take into account the open and pending trades,or do you close all trades and then restart IBFX

Good question Vince.
If the new updates have the same "MAgic" number then they will take over the current and pending trades otherwise they will ignore those trades.

Excalibur V 3
I have combined a well known indicator with some modifications, and programmed an EA that has show very good results since running it “live” starting October 10. 2008. I do not believe in back testing any EA. Excalibur V 3 has built in e-mail alerts and is fully automated. It will trade all currencies but has been tested only on the following since I began it live on a “demo “ account.
Excalibur V 3 is designed to run in a “Stealth” mode and not allow the broker to see the stoploss , as determined by the EA, and not allow the broker time to set up any script in an attempt to close down a trade in their favor and execute a loss on your side.
There is a drawdown and it does not perform well on any account under $3,000.00.
Although it will run on any account it is currently running live on a demo “mini” account with a balance of $3,000.00.
I am looking for a few members that are willing to set it up on a demo account and monitor the results.
The e-mail alert system will be deactivated for testing purposes so we can simply monitor the trading results.
Excalibur V 3 will write to a account summary file written into the /files folder/ as (account#)_Summary.txt file and save all trading results so we can compare different brokers and results.
I would also like to see the detailed report generated by your trading platform uploaded in htm format as well.
I would like to see the (account#)_Summary.txt file posted in this forum and the brokers name so we can compare results from different brokers.

MT_PRO2.dll goes into the /experts/libraries folder. Used to verify with my servers that you have a registered copy and for live updates when the EA is finished.
SummaryReportInPoints.ex4 goes into the /experts folder also and has to be placed on any chart other than one you are attempting to trade on. You can open as an example two EUR/USD charts and place this file on one and the Excalibur_V3 on the other. This SummaryReportInPoints.ex4 will write a summary file to your /files folder and update this file every time a trade is closed keeping tack of all losses and wins.
We need this file posted at the end of the week so we can see the results from different brokers. It would also be interesting if some members used different time frames so we could compare the results. When posting the summary file located in the files folder please state the time frame and broker you are using. It will be interesting to see the results of other time frames other than the recommended 15m
Excalibur V3 has an expiry date and will expire on a monthly basis. I will update Excalibur V3 on a regular basis and upload the newest version far before the current one ever expires.
Excalibur V3 will be free to any member that stays with this beta testing till it is completed. Beta testing is hard and boring at the best of times and I would never consider selling any EA to those that participated in the testing.
Excalibur V3 uses several internal indicators to make its trade decisions. The original indicator has done nothing but make a profit for the past year but had to be traded manually. Excalibur V3 was designed to attempt to make this an automated trading indicator so that the trade does not have to sit in front of the computer every day.
The Excalibur_Filters.ex4 can be attached to a chart on it's own and traded manually when it gives a trade signal but nothing is more boring that waiting for such signals.
Excalibur_V3 determines its trade signals using several indicators working with one another to determine its trade signals.

Make sure that you read the instructions manual in full before you attempt to install or trade Also please read through the postings here before you ask for any support questions as many have already been answered.
This is a beta test on an new automated trading system.
DO NOT USE THIS EA ON A "LIVE" ACCOUNT UNTIL WE ARE READY AND I HAVE RELEASED THE FINAL VERSION.

November 21 2008 Update
I have attached a new update for the EUR/USD to this page .It is designed for the EUR/USD 30m chart only. EUR_USD_DEMO_30M_Chart.zip. Sorry forgot to include the instructions file. Just uploaded a newer version that includes the proper files. November 23 3008. I have also upload the Demo Instruction separately so we can keep the update file sizes smaller for downloading. Altough some of the file names will be different in the updates the instructions will give the new beta tester a god idea what to do to get started. I will update the instructions when I get a bit more time here.
November 24 2008 Update:
I have attached the latest version of Excalibur V3 for the daily charts only. I have the set for three currencies so far:
EUR/USD, USD/CHF and the GBP/USD
Stoploss is set at 300 pips and changes the minute we are into a profit of 100 pips to breakeven.
Since the movement is so much on these charts the 100 pip movement should not be an issue here. Will see.
Once we are into another 50 pip profit, total 150 pips the the BreakEven will take effect and lock in 50 pips profit. After that the Trailing Stop will go into effect and move every 100 pips after that.
I look forward to see how these ones perform over the next month here.

i have had simillar experiences with various brokers who shall go nameless
-But- are montioned here...it`s called price -or- trade manipulation...i have seen my trades altered when they were placed by a ea in both forms mentioned above at all brokers i have used.
the forex market brokers are not properly regulated here in the u.s.a. or elsewhere, but it is improving here in the u.s.a. which might be the reason why your ea is doing ok.
if you dought what im saying ask your broker if they manipulate the price or spread or trade against you, i have done so only to have a abrupt end to communication, including follow-up calls to open a account etc.
lookinto it further on your own and you will see the same thing.

Been having a few issues with the expiry date still working. I have redone the files and uploaded new ones here.
Aslo the daily files I had adjusted the stoploss to 100 pip. mistake, for sure, and have redone them as well so they should work once more and generate the profits they had done in the past.

All you need to do is e-mail me @ support@fxreports.net with the Subject
as " Need A registration Number and include your full name in the e-mail.
for a registration number and enter it in the proper box and also enter your demo account number. After that it should register and begin working.
