Weekly results

Hi Bernard,

Just a short note with the weekly results. Family commitments take priority this weekend.

Alpari UK - 7pairs 15min. Poor results, still not closing long term trades, will not do further testing at this broker until you have a resolution for the 5 decimal brokers.

LiteForex - 7pairs 15min. Fantastic results, wish they were all like this! We would be millionaires in no time.

BrocoTrader - 7pairs 15min. Very good results, but fewer trades made.

FOREX.com - EURUSD 30min only. Weird results, all trades closed for 0.50 loss. This is also a 5 decimal broker.

Also tried EURUSD 30min at MIG but no trades were opened in 3 days.

Keep up the good work,
Good trading,
Wayne

I am really sorry for this mistake. Have worked many hours here but still no reason to have forgotten to check the upload before I sent it.

I have just upload the proper files and as soon as they are approved you can download the proper zip file with all the files you need.

Welcome aboard and thank you for taking the time to get involved in our project here.

Wow some real testing here to say the least.
I figured that we would see some different results from different brokers bit this is quite a difference in results. Server timing on the broker may be an issue since all the trades are sent from your end at the same time the it has to be something to do with when and how the order is accepted at the broker end.

This 5 digit thing is driving me crazy bit I will address it as soon as I have a bit more free time here.

I have updated all my real time data here related to trades in my modeling server up to the 21 of November and it now requires a few more adjustments in Excalibur to offset the market moves that we saw over the past two weeks.

Work, but worth the effort, as we are trying to develop Excalibur to adjust to all market conditions , always, and not be something that simply trades for a month then simply does not work again.

I have been at the terminal here all weekend working on new settings for the 30 m chart and finally got it to work even better , in testing, yuk, that it ever has, so I will once again upload a new updated version of the 30 m chart sometime today here.

I can not do the other currencies yet, as I have to convert the new data to the proper time frames, as well, and have to find some time here to do that today as well, then test the other currencies.

Lets have a great week here and see what positive results we can all come up with.

Again thank you for the effort you have put into this project and we will
have a winner when all is said and done
To Success
Bernard

Thanks for uplaoding the results.

Let them run as they stand. i need to see how long they are in the negative position and more importantly the amount of drawdown. YThis information is important and we need to know it.

Unless I hear otherwise, I will probably discontinue this test since you said in another post that you probably would not be supporting brokers that use 3 and 5 digits in the prices. This account has done nothing but lose, and several pending trades failed to execute yesterday for lack of funds. Although at times during trades it has shown considerable profit, it just gives it right back.

IBFX-- I started a new demo account with just the dedicated ea's on 1H charts except for the EURUSD pair I downloaded Wed, and changed to 30M. You said the you wanted Excalibur tested on different time frames so I will continue with the 1H, although the results are pitiful.

For the record, the new EURUSD has done nothing but lose since I installed it.

Such as they are....here they are.

You are doing great and please do not get frustrated here. The whole purpose of a demo account is to see what happens and what different brokers are doing with these trades. We have seen many different results on the same trades from different brokers, which I expected to see and wish I had the answer to,

Also I have to ask if you have downloaded the newer version of the EUR/USD or running the original version.

Either way please wait till I upload the newest version of the EUR/USD later today on the first post.

You will know if it is the newest version by the comments I will make in the post at the bottom of the post.

Next is the testing of Excalibur_v3_14Nov. I am using MIG, good result as a whole. Find that the tailing-stop is abit slow in acting, felt that some profit is lost here. Don't understand why there is 3 same trade (Bernard, can you explain this step? I have tested on some EA which run on pivot. It run with 15pips from each other, yes it has some disadvantage but if the tailing-stop is in-corporate in it and if there is sudden reverse swing, it can triggle for a immediate close trade). The floating at one time has gone up around $600-$700 for USDJPY (scary sight), trade is still floating till now since 17Nov. Over all graph look good.

Great Job!

I will be testing the latest EA coming Monday.

Cheers

Great work here.

The Alpari testing for the time being seems to be a waste of time until I can attend to their decimal problem there.

Your other account looks fine and I am working on some adjustments here to tighten up the settings, especially the lock in take profit feature on these other currencies.

Currently i am working, seems like day and night on the EUR/USD 30 m chart to get that one finished and ready, and trying to divide the rest of my time into the other currencies.

Thank you for your continued patience here.

usp/jpy, eur/gbp, usd/cad, gbp/jpy and eur/jpy on 4h charts
EA: Running current currency specifics and Excalibur_V3_Demo on others

On this account I am currently running the current specific pair EA's as well as the current general EA on the other pairs. I will continue to monitor the current recommended changes and update accordingly. Did you want me to test the other pairs or just stick with the currency specifics? I also noticed that the new EUR/USD is for the 30m time frame. I am already on this time frame anyway so it shouldn't make a difference but if you make a change to a different time frame, should I just close any pending orders for that pair and apply the newer EA on the new time frame or let the test run as is?

I say again, you're doing a great job here. Keep up the good work.

Whenever I upload a new file set it can get frustrating because we have to close out the current trades and start over or else the information get confused with the older EA.

The EUR/USD is what I am currently concentrating on and will be uploading a new version, again, some time today. Please do not download the EUR/USD until you see new comments related to the date I uploaded the newest version. When you download the newest version , even it is frustrating, we have to delet the old demo account and open a new on with a new starting balance of 3k. Simple operation on most brokers especially FXDD or IBX, not so sure on the others.

We need all data on any new release to be as fresh as possible or else my database her get propagated with data related to the wrong testing.

EA: Just running Excalibur_V3_Demo

On this account I have just been running the newer general EA, not the specific pairs. The attached statement is just for the last week. Profits are not bad since the market seems to be doing some funky things. From reading the posts though it seems this EA is taking a different turn and I do not know what this information could possibly yield at this time. Some of these trades have been open a long time (one since I opened the account on 10/26) and have not recovered. Could just be that those where not good time frames to put for those charts. Right now the open trades are down 16,613 pips. This is beta testing as well as a demo account so this does not bother me. Do you want me to continue this testing and if so, should I stay with the EA I'm using or switch to the updated ones?
Edward close out the demo account on the general EA as these test results no longer are important to where we have gone to since we started this.

I can not thank you enough for continuing with the first release, I currently am still running them here for my own personal information, or enjoyment, whatever the reason, and still believe that they will not only recover,, but will continue to make pips as the year goes forward.

My personal opinion, but we are moving forward in a bit of a different direction and incorporating the stoploss and several other features, growing up the EA sort of, so in an effort to free up your machine there it is better testing the updates as they are uploaded.

Bernard,

Yes, I downloaded the new versions starting Wed and also updated them as newer ones became available.

I noticed that the latest files posted list the date modified as Nov 3, while the ones I am replacing have a date of Nov 6. Should we replace these anyway, or is this an error.

Re: The EURUSD...do you wish me to continue testing this on a 1H chart, or change to 30M?

Regards,

Bob
