Bernard,

Here are my weekly results on the original 3k account.

Info for Statement – IBFX 3k mini #2155316
Started on 10/26/08
Pairs: eur/usd 1m, usd/jpy 5m, gbp/usd 15m,
usd/chf 30m, usd/cad 1h, aud/usd 4h,
eur/gbp 15m, gbp/jpy 1h, nzd/usd 4h and
eur/jpy 5m
EA: Just running Excalibur_V3_Demo

On this account I have just been running the newer general EA, not the specific pairs. The attached statement is just for the last week. Profits are not bad since the market seems to be doing some funky things. From reading the posts though it seems this EA is taking a different turn and I do not know what this information could possibly yield at this time. Some of these trades have been open a long time (one since I opened the account on 10/26) and have not recovered. Could just be that those where not good time frames to put for those charts. Right now the open trades are down 16,613 pips. This is beta testing as well as a demo account so this does not bother me. Do you want me to continue this testing and if so, should I stay with the EA I'm using or switch to the updated ones?

Bernard,

Here are my weekly results on my newer 3k account.

Info for Statement – IBFX 3k mini #2153996
Started on 11/03/08
Pairs: aud/usd, eur/usd, gbp/usd, nzd/usd, and usd/chf on 30m charts
usp/jpy, eur/gbp, usd/cad, gbp/jpy and eur/jpy on 4h charts
EA: Running current currency specifics and Excalibur_V3_Demo on others

On this account I am currently running the current specific pair EA's as well as the current general EA on the other pairs. I will continue to monitor the current recommended changes and update accordingly. Did you want me to test the other pairs or just stick with the currency specifics? I also noticed that the new EUR/USD is for the 30m time frame. I am already on this time frame anyway so it shouldn't make a difference but if you make a change to a different time frame, should I just close any pending orders for that pair and apply the newer EA on the new time frame or let the test run as is?

I say again, you're doing a great job here. Keep up the good work.

Edward

This week Result

Bernard,

Here is the result using the 1st Excalibur_v3. I am using Alpari, all trade ended in breakeven. The -0.02 is due to the swap rate(can see it in the graph). So far the floating rate max has been kept at about $100 Max, so it is good in money management. So everything alright for this one.

Next is the testing of Excalibur_v3_14Nov. I am using MIG, good result as a whole. Find that the tailing-stop is abit slow in acting, felt that some profit is lost here. Don't understand why there is 3 same trade (Bernard, can you explain this step? I have tested on some EA which run on pivot. It run with 15pips from each other, yes it has some disadvantage but if the tailing-stop is in-corporate in it and if there is sudden reverse swing, it can triggle for a immediate close trade). The floating at one time has gone up around $600-$700 for USDJPY (scary sight), trade is still floating till now since 17Nov. Over all graph look good.

Great Job!

I will be testing the latest EA coming Monday.

Cheers

Test Results for Week Ending November 21

Bernard,

Please find attached my test results for last week.
Version: Excalibur_V3_Nov_05
Broker: Alpari UK (with 3 decimals on JPY pairs and 5 decimals on others)
Time Frame: M15
Pairs: AUDUSD, EURGBP, EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY

I do not know in what extent the EA familiar with the 3-5 decimals brokers such as Alpari UK lately. Perhaps the 3-5 decimals are in connection with exiting the orders properly, i.e. there were a couple of times when the EA was in significant profit globally but did not close the positions. I do not know the profit taking criteria of this EA, anyway.

The EA's performance is promising but I think it needs some refinement at the profit taking side.

Regards,

Chrisstoff

Hi Bernard,

Excalibur with the stop loss setting unfortunately doesn't work, I've tried several settings, but always the S/L is 5 pips on my alpari account.. Can you help me, please? And other users with Alpari, do you have the same problem?

Best regards,
Christian

Bernard,

Here are the results for this week.

Forex.com--7 dedicated ea's running on 30M charts. Unless I hear otherwise, I will probably discontinue this test since you said in another post that you probably would not be supporting brokers that use 3 and 5 digits in the prices. This account has done nothing but lose, and several pending trades failed to execute yesterday for lack of funds. Although at times during trades it has shown considerable profit, it just gives it right back.

IBFX-- I started a new demo account with just the dedicated ea's on 1H charts except for the EURUSD pair I downloaded Wed, and changed to 30M. You said the you wanted Excalibur tested on different time frames so I will continue with the 1H, although the results are pitiful.

For the record, the new EURUSD has done nothing but lose since I installed it.

Such as they are....here they are.

Bob

Unprecedented

This has been the most amazing and rewarding threads I have read for a while now. I do hope it is not too late to ask and try it on silver, crude and such. Hope you say OK. Thanks in advance.

Cheers
