I'm almost positive this has been asked before. Instead of letting the trade sit there and wait till it "comes back home".....wouldnt there be more pips in taking a small loss and make the pair "live again" instead of playing the waiting game? Just wondering what your thoughts are on this. Marty
Here are the results of the first week. Pretty poor overall, but entirely my fault for closing some badly losing trades, sorry. If you discount the trades I closed, performance is pretty impressive. This is on an IBFX account with $5000, trading EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/CHF, USD/JPY, AUD/USD, NZD/USD, USD/CAD, and GBP/JPY. All charts are 1 hour. I will probably open another demo this weekend with the recommended $3000 and start over...this time with no help from me.
Here are my two week results on my 100k demo account. I've already PM'ed Bernard about the trades. For some reason excalibur opened buy and sell orders on GBP/USD. Two contracts made very good profit. Three did very poorly. Combined with some four EUR/USD contracts they really did me in. After talking to Bernard I cancelled everything and let it resume. I also posted my account history in case you need that to gander at it Bernard. The EA appears to be slowly making back the money though. Overall looks pretty good.
Here is the file you requested. The is just 1 week on a 3k mini account on IBFX. It is trading eur/usd 1m, usd/jpy 5m, gbp/usd 15m, usd/chf 30m, usd/cad 1h, aud/usd 4h, eur/gbp 15m, gbp/jpy 1h, nzd/usd 4h and eur/jpy 5m. 3700+ pips with no loss. I have about -3200 pips floating though. I will keep these contract open and see what happens into next week.
Even with my computer broke down for the last 3 days i had made a small profit of $20 with 0.01...and lucky enough not to finish the week with a huge loss... once the EA wasn't controling the trades... lets see next week working full power!!!
I attached the results for the week. I've forgotten to use the summary report mq4. This is on an IBFX DEMO account with $10,000, trading, USD/CHF,GBP/USD,EUR/USD,AUD/USD,USD/CAD,EUR/GBP,EUR/JPY,GBP/JPY. They are all 15 minutes time frame. I'm going to try to test with updated verision and will report next week.
Thanks for letting us test your EA. My results look quite good until you take into account the trades which haven't closed yet - +$1,372.65 closed P/L, -$1,998.33 floating P/L!! I assume you expect the losing trades to come back into profit.
I opened a $5000 demo account with FIBOGroup and immediately got the "invalid trade volume error (131)" that some people have been getting. Realised that the account was a standard one and should have been trading 0.10 lots instead of the 0.01 default for Excalibur. Downloaded your update which allowed flexible sizing and the trades started almost staright away. I'll let the FIBOGroup account continue for another week and see what happens.
I've set up a $3000 demo account with LiteForex and I'll test your latest "currency-specific" 30 min EAs against that account next week.
OMG I just saw the statements from another Don Steinks clone.
No stoploss, hope an pray trading .
Dear Bernard you are a tool.
Moderators close this joke of a thread now!
Sorry when I see a post like this.
We are running a beta test here and yes there is no stop loss yet, other than when the EA goes into a profit zone.. The idea of a beta test is to collect information and review the results.
Many members are reporting great gains while others are reporting losses.
The whole idea of beta testing.
Personally I am running it on a "live" account" and have enough faith that the end results will be just fine. With such small lots there is little room on the "live" account to kill anything.
I can appreciate your input here but since this is beta testing and no one else is risking funds other than myself why are we posting such negative post this early.
Also seems strange to me when programmers go into the national contests and have a winning EA with no stoploss everyone is lined up to get that EA.
I am only trying to make something here that will be free and hopefully when finished have a good stop loss in it once the results have been collected and assessed.
Bernard

Thank again for your continued input here.
Currencies will always make a come back and yes if a trader , like some are in this business for instant gratification and reurns then they are in a long line up of traders that have blown their accounts.
When one conciders the return on an investment that comes from a bank deposit, and the return on the "Swap" alone" there is really not all that much to concider. Trades stay open as long as they have to and when this EA is finished it will trade only on positive swap rates so that when a currency in a losing position for any length of time then we are collecting more interest here than any bank will supply us with. "Carry Trades are well known and are placed not so much for the instant profit but for the long run.
Hopefully the members here that are participating in this project will realize that this will be an time investment on everyone's part and not something that will be finished over night.
There will be continued updates until we get to the currencies that work best and finally find a reasonable stop loss to work with.
Thank You again for your continued input here.
Bernard
