Good question. The indicator does not need to be on the chart. Excalibur V3 knows where it is and can find it. However if your want to be able to actually see the buy and sell signals then place it on the chart also. Will not interfere with anything.

Dear Pheniox,

I don't have VPS, so I am using my desktop, does it needs to run 24/5 or can it be run i.e. 8-10 hours daily??

If you are going to run Excalibur and walk away then it has to be run 24/5.

If you are there watching it and there are no trades then you can shut it down anytime. If there are trades open then Excalibur must be running as the EA has no way to control the open trades if it has been shut down.

Hi Pheniox,
I'm not using in my live account yet.
I'm worried about some trades he have opened and haven't been close yet.
For example Excalibur opened one sell in EURUSD 1,2828 when he should open one buy in my opnion.
Other thing, I downloaded the new version and changed the lot but he still go on opening trade with lot 0.01.

Thanks!

No matter what there are always losses, we cannot expect wins all the time. As long as we can keep above the 70 % win ratio we come out ahead in the long run, and yes this business is for those that are in it for the long run.
Bernard,

Quick question about how long (or far) a trade is open. Your result are phenominal so far. My computer upstairs has about 3000+ pips for the week in some 160 (or so) trades with not a single loss. My concern though are the open trades. 2 of one pair and 3 of another. I don't know the mixes right now. I'm at work. These two mixes are down a total of about 2200 pips. Do these mixes have a s/l or is Excalibur hoping the market will swing back it's way. I understand trading the lot size smaller to allow for wild swings, but 900 pips is a seriously wide swing for this trading style. If the program (or I) close these for a loss right now, the number of profitable trades to losses would be very low but the maxium downdraw would be very large. Thanks for the system and I'll post both of my results tomorrow night.

Edward

Thanks Bernard for the info, I am sorry that I can't provide you the info this week, my HDD corrupted . I have to shop for new one this weekends, and start evaluate your new version of Excalibur v3 next week. Have a nice weekends.
p/s. Before my PC corrupted, The last results for the whole week with 10 pairs IS VERY GOOD! It takes small profits bit by bit and the graphs is upwards nicely.. However, I do notice the floats... I wonder *IF* the trend goes opposite direction for several days, how can this EA handle the floats?

Should handle the "floats" drawdown easily as we are using small lots. This is the reason for the minimun 3k balance to start with.

If we use only one currency or only a few selected one, which this testing will determine then we can easily increase the lot size and make more pips down the raod.
The drawdown is not the issue here but rather running a lot of different currencies until we get to the decision points where we select which currencies we trade.

Again I thank you and everyone here for their time and patience. This is not going to be an overnight beta test and those that stick with us here will benefit greatly in the long run for sure.

I have already finished off the EUR/USD EA and it is proving to be more than I expected in back testing, even though I do not believe in these tests, but have seen it working good forward on a demo account so far.

To Success
Bernard
