I have downloaded your software and am unable to import Oanda data.

There is no clear procedure described for importing Oanda data although the software claims to have an Oanda import engine.

The only documentation I can find on your website describes an involved and cumbersome procedure for editing a .csv file.

Please advise.

Hi WNW,

First of all, thanks for taking the time of testing FXCC.

About your Oanda problem. The importing process is pretty easy, and there is no .csv editing involved at all. The only thing you have to do is to get the "Full Transaction History" from Oanda with the format shown in the manual (Section Tutorials->Obtain data from broker).

Here you have a step by step tutorial of the process (you can see the images in the manual or online in manual.forexcontrolcenter.com):

- To import the data from Oanda you need to go to Account -> Full Transaction History option in your Oanda platform

- From there you have to check the different options, select the range and select .csv as format.

- We select all the types and the currencies to import

- Then the range of time

- The kind of data to import that should match the one shown below

- And finally .csv as format

- Once the data has been generated, you should copy it to a text format file (like notepad)

- With this data in a text file you can import it from an Oanda type account

However, if you find any problems with any step of this process you can send us an email to support@forexcontrolcenter.com, or if you want to send us a sample of the transaction history generated from Oanda we can test it and check what is going on with it.

Now if only you could integrate trade executions from MT4 to Oanda....now that would really be something! I could run my EA and send the orders to Oanda....But why would MT4 allow that?...I am dreaming...

I know what you mean, but the idea of FXCC is just to analyze trading (after trades are done) so probably we won't go the way you want

Anyway there are some people working on that idea, and it should be possible to do it if you have an API from Oanda. Look for "mt oanda bridge" on Google and maybe you will find some hints.
