In this stradegy (catfx50) we use moving average 50 at close, exponencial or simple?

I use it at close, today i got audusd signal long at 1.7380 and cable long at 1.7425, short yen 117.83 ,anyone see other signals so far? do you guys think is a good day to take signals, i see very slow move.

Hi ampu,

the problem is the StepMa indicator and Histo are different - Histo based on other version of StepMa.but there is also difference in "scaling" - StepMa has min/max levels [0-1] - wich causing scaling,the Histo don't.you can see what i mean if you uncomment "#property" in Histo indicator and recompile it.

But today, Cami, market is $ long. So, all three were $ short. Riskier.

the signals were good in 3 cases, only cable gave 10 pips, the rest like 20 pips, i saw the signal and took it, just wondering now which is better to use the histogram or the step ma, any idea?

Today was a nasty one as expected.

Today's recap (hypothetically):

EURUSD, no signal.

USDCHF, no signal.

GBPUSD, buy at 1.7425. Made a high at 1.7439. + 14 pips.

USDJPY, buy at 117,88. Made a high at 118.25. + 37 pips.

As you see, not a good day.
