I don't mean to disregard what you just wrote about OANDA but you're probably the first person i've seen that has had a bad experience with OANDA. I have heard nothing else but positive things about it. I also know a couple people who are extremely profitable traind the news of all things on OANDA and it works out for them very well.
Could it be that your ip was being blocked by OANDA for another reason? Definitely follow up with them, see what the reasoning was. Also can you not call OANDA and tell them to close your open trade?
