There are 2 types of GAPs.
1) The one happened during the weekends when Friday's close price is different from Monday's opening, it always happens because rates are changing Saturday and Sunday.
2) GAP happened during some major news time. Due to high volatility during the news time price can change very fast during short period of the time and it can move 10-20-30...pips per one tick thats why you can see GAPs ( this is very rare), thats why we strongly advise not to trade during the news. FXOpen retranslating data from the major banks, there is no cheating or manipulations offcourse.
Incase any GAP or spike happened due to our fault (software problems, server problems, data glitch) FXOpen will correct it, in most of the cases it takes several minutes only.
