The "XO"-Method.........

PLEASE SEE POST #998 FOR THE LATEST VERSION - TEMPLATE INCLUDED - TODAY 22 JANUARY, 2007.

PLEASE SEE POST #957 FOR MY PERSONAL CHANGES TO THE DOUBLE_CCI_WOODY, NOW BACK TO 55/13.

YOU MAY NOW DOWNLOAD THE ZIPPED FILE AS IT IS THE LATEST / I MADE THE NECESSARY CHANGES TO THE METHOD HERE, PLEASE READ IT AS WELL.

LATEST UPDATED VERSION ( today 13 November 2006)

NewDigital once again very kindly moved the zipped file here in spite of being a very busy man. Thanking you sincerely.

Firstly, I am indebted to Sharipov Ainur who wrote this incredible Oscillator. Secondly, to adoleh2000 for converting it to MT4 format and lastly to the originator of the "Multiple Time Frame idea" namely Kerris2112.(MTF) – the development of the #MTF-method, is a blessing and something I have been looking for the last 2 years. Be blessed all of you, especially Kerris who made this come true.

I am further indebted to the following people who continue to assist in developing this method, without you it could not have been possible: Kalenzo; ShadowWz; HoggZilla and VideoJ (VideoJ in particular who incidentally, is responsible for the ZZ_4_TF_XO); Hellkas; Elihayun; Perky. Forgive me if I have missed out on anyone.

A special thank you to those of you who relentlessly test and test again like Money-Line; PipTrip; and Mart_Hart who suggested the 34-CCI and even longer!!!; Creative; et_PhoneHome2; Fet0r our latest addition, and all those who are working on it. Thank you very much for your support.
FIRST AND FOREMOST:…….YOU NEED A DEDICATED 5M_CHART. (No switching between timeframes!!!)

1). I use the ZZ_4_TF_XO as per attached example. Settings are: 60/4.5; 30/5; 15/5; 5/5. --- For better visual effect, I add in a level @ ±3 where 3 timeframes have met the requirements and we await the final one.

2). Woodies Double_CCI set at 55/25
With the following levels added: 100; 250; 350; 450 in both directions of course.
I further colour them so that I can see them immediately - colour of the Turbo (25) mine is Magenta (and “broken”) on 250 where it "overheats" when it “breaks-out in isolation”(it means that it is not followed by the 55) but it can go to 350 and during announcements, it maxes out @ 450.
.
The 350-line is Solid Magenta and usually this is where the 25 "overheats completely during normal break-outs" ( it can run to 450 in severe overheating such as announcements as mentioned above).

The 450-line is GOLD and that is for the 50. Like the 25, the 55 will go as high as 650 during announcements, where I have my RED-line. Should you be in a trade and this happens to you, close the position seconds before the close of the 5M-candle!!

3). I NOW use the VERY LATEST CCI_Filter_vX set on ±100 levels and critical levels @ 250. signalling only on breaking the ±100-levels. I use 2, one set @ 25 and the other @ 55. REMEMBER to set it on Histogram!!
A very special mention here to Raff who very kindly changed this to suit my needs - outstanding work thanks again.

(Same applies to the CCI_Cross that I have added for you so that you can see it on the candles).

4). As I have a "need to know" where the present position of the trade is in its cycle, I use the Stochastic 14/3/5. (This is optional, but for the Newbies, I suggest you try it first before you discard it.

5). HERE IS THE CHANGE!! I have replaced “old_faithful” Forex_Freedom_V2 with a “gift” from my friend Gerhard (DayTrader) who changed the SuperTrend2 ( thank you Jason Robinson for this gem) into ZZ_MTF_SUPERTREND. Thank you Gerhard, you have saved many a wrong entry, my friend! Also, you have taken STRESS out of trading to a large degree.

Now, I know what Traders are like:……….we all look into the design of the indicators first and change it “to suit our perceived needs” – therefore in order to preserve what Gerhard had intended it to be and after 2 months of live-trading them between 3 of us, Gerhard and I have decided NOT to release the mq4-file for at least the next 4 weeks (after which we will, promise!!). Don’t even ask for it, sorry! The reason is obvious – to us at least! We want you to experience the settings as they are at present after many weeks of experimenting. (prior to live testing that is).

NOTE: They are numbered 5M; 15M; 30M; and 60M. They should be loaded in that order!!

The colours are very important: Remember to change the first colour to NONE !!!!!!!The second colour is that of the actual indicator and leave all of them EXCEPT the 60M one on 0 or 1. Change the 60M one to 3.

What will happen is that you will see the 60M one on top and that is THE most important indication for us at least. (Already some of you may think, then why bother to load the others? The ANSWER being:…………..I want to see when there is a change in market conditions!!
If you use it cleverly, you can re-enter or buy another LOT when the 5M “pops-out” and gets back in line, so to speak.

NOW HERE ARE THE FACTS: YOU ONLY TRADE WHEN THE LAST INDICATOR (60M) HAS FALLEN IN PLACE WITH THE OTHERS – EITHER ON TOP FOR LONGS OR AT BOTTOM FOR SHORTS!!

EVEN IF THE “ZZ_4_TF_XO” HAS BEEN READY, WAIT FOR THIS FINAL SIGNAL!!

One final thing, you need the SuperTrend2 loaded in your Custom Indicators and I have added it here for you.

6). ZZ_MTF_XO_A which is set to 240 / 4.5 and run it separately of course. (There is a newer version of this ZZ_MTF_XO available now, made by iGor. I have no problems with mine, but just in case you have. You can find it here………………..)

THAT’S IT!!

7). Asctrend_no_Sound @ 5 to assist in non-trending markets.

8). The following EMA s set on CLOSE:

13-EMA (mine is dotted) WARNING SIGNAL
25-EMA ENTRY / EXIT
55-EMA KEEPS YOU IN
100-EMA DIRECTION
215-EMA My “gift” to you. Check it out and respect it!!
300-EMA TREND
300-EMA represents the 50-EMA on the 30-M chart. I learned something here from Dr. Constance Brown first and then from Nina, thx.

9). Murrey_Math (unquestionable) and I also use the SDX_TzPivots[1], arguably the best Pivot calculator..

ENTRY RULES:

1. As soon as the 4_TF_XO signals an entry when the bars become solid GREEN / RED, enter on the CLOSE of the SECOND candle, providing that the second candle is not opposite to current direction in which case the XO_Bar would have retracted back to Line-3 on the indicator in any event. Also.......

2. CCI-55 is in "agreement" - that is, if the CCI-25 is >250 and leading the 55-CCI, don't enter. If they follow closely, especially when they cross the zero-line simultaneously, you may enter.

3. The SuperTrends are “together” at the TOP / BOTTOM.

4. The Stochastic is not "overheated" (>75 and <25)

5. It is best to have the XO_A (240 / 4.5) in the same direction as the 4_TF_XO as the trade is usually stronger. However, without it, you may pick up 10 pips minimum.
Be aware that with the new additions of the SuperTrends, you may no longer pick up these stray 10 pips.

NB>>>>> I STILL prefer that the AscTrend signal be in place, whether it appears on the candle of entry or prior to that.

EXIT RULE:

1). WHEN THE PRICE CLOSES ABOVE / BELOW THE 25-EMA!

2). STOPS @ - 1 pip from 55-EMA.

Your continued support and development is appreciated.

Thanks.
