Yes, I agree that renaming the indicator was wrong, but this was his only misdemeanour - copyrights excepted, this is a freely available EA with no T&C's of usage. Anyway, do you know for a fact that he did not actually contact its creator before-hand and obtained permission? In another thread, I mentioned my surprise that he is still active (5 years on) when I recieved an email from him, so it is indeed possible that Mr Boatright contacted him as well. Though I will not be suprised in the least if he didn't - there are thousands of indicators out there that are subject to the same 'abuse' daily, and I have no doubt that most commercial EA's are guilty of these practices! How many of us are not guilty of 'copying' someone elses code? - everyone, it's called learning!
In practice, there is absolutely no difference between using someones indicator externally, and including the indicator code in an EA itself. Had Bogie taken the latter route, there would have been no controversy generated. The reason this is even being debated seems to stem from both Mr Boatright's past success in the EA championships, and the 'mystical' properties many attribute to NN's...
