Below is my first post on the OTHER thread. In it I said PLEASE DON't TELL ME FLORIDA. So what is wrong with Florida (USA)? Let Me say this, Florida has not laws on restricting tellerMarketing None. Most of all the telephone scams in this country originate in Florida. Including Boiler Rooms, Sweat Shops and yes Bucket Shops. I recieve all the NFA's enforcement notices delievered to my email each week. Around 80% of their inforcement actions agains Fx and Futures Brokers are those that are located in supprize, Florida. Florida has more enforcement problems and scam artist then the rest of the country put together. No other state even comes close!
One thing I look at is were the company is located. I am not saying ALL brokers (or businesses) in Florida are crooks but Florida has a reppitation of harboring the more shady ones. Now dont take my work for it do your own research.
I did a little bit of looking into FxOpen, and guess were their point of contact is in the US? WOW you guessed it, Gainsville, Florida. BUT they have a big OFFICE because it extends from Gainsville Florida all the way to West ChesterField, New Hamsphire, a small town of under 1500 people. In case you dont know the United States well, there is over 1800 miles between the two points. I think the number in Florida is a device that captures the incoming calls phone number as it gives a busy signal after the system answers, just long enough to catch your phone number on a caller ID. The one in NH is a machine telling you to leave a message or to begin a fax. It doesnot Identify who they are so you are faxing your personal information to an unknown person / machice.
Funny thing is I winter in Florida just about 50 miles from Gainsville, and my summer home is on the shores of Lake WINNI in the town of Wolfeboro NH again about 50 miles or so to West Chesterfield. WOW I can actually go to their office (both their front office and back office
) and talk to them face to face. I have their addresses to were the landlines are located.
Why are they set up like that? I believe the principle .... not sure yet but.....! There is a reason for it!

How many names are they using? I found 4 to this point.
There so call main office is nothing more then a paid repersentative in the city of Victoria, Seychelles. Seychelles only bacame a free and fully independent country in '93. It consist of over 115 small islands scated over a 175 square mile area, off the coast of Africa. The attached picture is of Victoria, Very nice place to live and scam out of! What do you think? You money may be well spent! By the way this country has the largest floating debit per cap and per GPA then any other country in the world. It is also delinquent in its payments to other countrys as well, and most of the country has been put up to cover its loans to other countries. This is a good place to start an off shore (International Bussiness Company) as the governments only requirement is the payment of moneies. Banking information is restrictive, information can only be obtained from court order. I donot know if they have banking there or not.
I do not know were the company's banking is established. Can any one who has sent money by wire to FxOpen say were they sent it, and thoses the recieved withdrawals can you state were it originated from. I would almost guess that the moneies in and out are from two different banks.
Now being established in Florida doesnot make the company a crook, but why did they not say that it was Florida when I asked? O, right I said PLEASE DONT TELL ME FLORIDA

The fact that they dont tell anything about themselfs is were the problems lay. Any good company that plains to be arround for a while will not be hiding itself a cloud on mystery as they do. You cant even get the name of the owner or the one in charge there. Do a search on the web and all you find are complaints on the company. There are a few that asked questions as I did and have received political answers(B.S.) as we have. That in itself is more then just reason to go else were and no need to waste time with doing any more research. Time to move on to the next broker on your list. There are so meny things that are against you to start with why pick a broker with nothing more to say then weres your money.
The new traders here will never under stand what I am saying here. No matter if I were to hit them on the side of the head with a brick, they will not see the importance or checking out who you are dealling with. Call Walmart and ask them any questions you want you will get an answer even financial questions are answered. If the person you are talking too cant answere they will put you on to some one who can. IT IS NOT DIFFERENT WITH YOUR BROKER. period.
I have better things to do then to continue with this. FxOpen has set itself up to be very hard if not imposible to research, that was done for a reason. The most obvous is to disapear if the need become neccessary.
