Metatrader Interactive broker interface
Hi Folks
I have many strategies based on higher time frame charts 15m plus which will work very well on signals from metatrader which are relayed to Interactive brokers.The price volatility fills problem is likely to arise with 1m and 5 m time frames.Most of my orders are limit orders so I do not see a problem with price fills.My systems are mechanical.
An interface between IB and metatrader would cost between $2,000 and $5,000 depending on how expensive your programmer is.I am interested in sharing this cost and getting use of the interface.If any of you are interested in sharing the costs and using the interface please P M me.
The price difference between Metatrader brokers and IB cash looks non existent .The spread is much lower at IB AND THE SPREAD MAKES A LOT OF DIFFERENCE TO OVERALL PROFITABILITY OF A TRADER.

Use mq4 platform but when the MT4.0 has a filled order, we send a market order to IB. And when the MT4.0 closes the order, we send the close command to the IB platform and closed the order using market order too. In the way, all of the strategy could be reuse this approach. The over all programming fee is similar.
This may take 40 hours too, but it could be reused by the other strategy. Our price is U.S 50 dollars per hour.

As you see from the platforms the spreads are much lower and are likely to get even lower in the future.
